Anders, that's a very good idea and I'm wondering why I didn't think of that - I've got plenty of that veneer in my workshop. I guess I was not thinking 'out of the box'.

But I'm also wondering why you didn't suggest it to me when you were on board Beachcomber and saw how I had added all those screws to keep that nasty piece of plastic in place. Anyone could think that your vocabulary doesn't include the word "crap" to describe my efforts - I don't think so, your English is excellent, you were probably just being polite.
