I've seen a couple of comments about this now which seems to be some sort of oblique reference to something I assume is considered a fault with either the forum or the website.

If any of you have a complaint how about simply making it?

The website and the forum are both run on free sites, so I think it not unreasonable to expect a few ads.

If you use a decent browser you can block most of them should you choose to do so, it isn't rocket science. Similarly cookies can be dealt with.

I do have a site that isn't free, I've been paying for it for 3 years now out of my own pocket but there doesn't appear to be any further development likely. If the problem with ads is the site that hosts the website rather than the forum then perhaps I should just transfer it there.

I'm about to start using that same service provider for a new business venture so I may end up developing a new site based on that one myself. Otherwise it seems a bit of a waste of money.

I haven't owned a trapper for over 3 years now, I'm happy to pass this on to someone else but my only fear is that it will simply die out when they change boats. As I started it, I'm probably more likely to keep it going. There are always those out there ready to criticise though, perhaps it's time they put some time and money and tenacity into it themselves.
