Hi Godfrey,

I already have the 1500lb type of winch. I thought that even with a two to one purchase it would only have to wind 10ft or so of cable and two to one should give half the load (plus friction).

I am a bit concerned about the number of winds it will take to get it up and down though.

I'm glad you are getting some racing in. We have done 26 races this year.

I will try to find out the recipe for the copper con carne!
