It went well, I made a leg for the bow out of two 3.3M lenghs of 4x2 planed softwood screwed together to make a 4x4 with a knee set in at 2.6M to wedge under the bow roller which I then lashed to the roller pin with 4mm cord, this allowed it to be a bit flexible for positioning.

My electric Karcher pressure washer wasn't really up to the job though, it did ok but next time I'll hire a more powerful petrol version. I'm booking another session in the next couple of weeks to do a bit more work underneath so I'll take a few photo's if you want.

I recommend doing it, I had to cancel the first booking because of work commitments so I enquired at Chichester about their charges for a lift/scrub/launch... £246.00!! I only paid &167.00 at Brighton last year for a lift and overnight hold in slings whilst I changed the stern gland rubber and I thought that was expensive. Bunch of wallet muggers!

Brad
