Sorry Its been a while to reply but I just come back from helping a friend bring a contessa 26 back from Germany so time to catch up.
Firstly on the way back from Ramsgate in my own the only option was to run right up to Harwich which would have been ok but then I would have hade a rough trip back next day.
Yes Ian I was in Mercator at the begining of August for about 5 days waiting for friends to turn up in their boat.
Does any one have a reefing jib? Iwould appreciate any rough idea of luff lengths when reefed. Just to get me going.
I like the idea of a blade jib as I used to have one on my E boat and was a superb sail.
Right time for sleep, as the contessa a nice boat, but slow and cramped compared to the 240s
Kim
