Hi Kim, As you know i have had my 240 a long time, about 15 years in fact and have always been amazed in all that time just how dry it is. Sure I get a bit of water in when cleaning the log impeller but but probably almost as much from rain and spray. My boat too has a hole in the cabin sole into which the hose from the bilge pump fits. There is never enough water to get it dry that way and a previous owner cut a sponge sized rectangle out of the floor and that works fine.
