Nah, don't mind me, I was steaming from having my message trashed - it had happened on more than one occasion before, which is what incensed me so much because I was angry with myself. I had hit a function key by mistake, typing too fast, when it just quits and reverts to the index page, without confirming if you really want to discard the message - unlike any other modern application. My own fault for not using MS Word and pasting. It reminds me of my old programming days and editors that didn't have save files, particularly DEC systems - hit exit by mistake and it did just that, losing you a lot of work, maybe. But that was the bad old days, back when the C&C 27 was just a twinkle in the two Georges' (Cuthbertson & Cassian) eyes.

A typical forum site that I like is the one on dpreview.com or a French sailing one at:

I'm told there are good, free software forum applications out there but we would need a server host to set it up on - it would need paying for and administering. Don't get me wrong, I know you have had a hassle to get to where we are and I appreciate having it, however creaky, clunky, limited and slooooow it is.

About the go-fast stripe. I scraped the gunge out of the groove that had held whatever Trapper Yachts had delivered it with and have never put anything back there. I clean the hull regularly and antifoul every two years, but it costs money and sailing time to be out of the water primping at unnecessary fancy stripes. I don't even add a boot topping to the antifouling. You can see I’m not a purist sometimes.

Best, Brian.
