Clive, you may have posted just as Nick was updating the system with the e-mails enabled. This one shows well enough so it must have been a momentary hiccup.

I now belatedly note that the e-mail address does not show in the posted message but will be invoked in a 'Mail-To' function. This probably means that VoyForums keeps the address component of each message in a database that is not on-line for access by automated spiders and so they are protected.

Not against the manual trawler that we experienced once, of course, who can click on each name and collect the addresses when the mail server opens up a send form. Tedious, naturally, but if you are unemployed, sitting in a Lagos Internet cafe, it's one way to pass the time and make the price of the next latte by suppling the bigger fish with the addresses of potential victims for their scams. After all, we yacht owners are all filthy rich and fair game for the lure of millions just by providing a bank account for the son of some African despot to get his father's fortune out. Aren't we?

Regards, Brian
