I must say I have never had a problem dropping or raising a TS 240 mast.
It helps to remember a couple of things.
If possible arrange for no wind or at least light
for and aft wind
Have at least two others to steady mast sideways
The third tensions or pulls a line from mast jib position
through bow fitting or pullpit.
Use cockpit mast support or weight rests on coachroof.
However when trailer sailing I can understand needing more control.
If not too late I suggest, Mary, you ask other members , some of whom have systems they may wish to dispose of.
