I did see Sula on-line for sale at the Hartlepool Marina - recognised her first by the metal tiller! She did seem rather low priced considering all your TLC and the newer engine. I can only repeat, some brokers, as their brothers in arms, estate agents, are interested in an owner accepting a lower price to get a quicker sale. Probably being afloat in the North East didn't help.

In 1996 Practical Boat Owner reviewed the Trapper 500/501 in their "Used Boats" article and wrote:
"As with all secondhand boats, everything depends on age, condition and the amount of gear included but to give you some idea, a reasonably well maintained 1981 Trapper 501 with twin keels and a Yanmar 8 diesel, which would have cost around £16,900 when new, should probably fetch roughly the same today. Prices in general range from as little as £7,500 to as much as £24,000."
That's probably still valid, but as you say, and to echo Jame's original point, Trapper prices are significantly less than comparable boats.

Regards, Brian.
