Perhaps it was the same person and they actually have a problem with ads on their pc.
My recommendation to everyone is to run adaware from lavasoft.com every so often, as well as checking their firewall and virus software is up to date. (I use AVG for my virus software and was using zonealarm for firewall, both free, though currently have a macafee firewall.)
