Yes John, I know, that is why I wrote "John, Nick and now you, Frank" in the previous message. I had seen that 'Sula' was for sale on the Trapper site proper.
Oh, I forgot, last I remember, you were using "Fred" as your pseudonym - sorry.

I hate to ask all you deserters, probably because I won't like the answers, why you are selling. I suppose it is as tasteless as asking someone why they are getting divorced (similar situation, actually).

The Trapper 500/501 range is quite long in the tooth now and I can understand the allure of a new boat; shiny, fresh fittings, go faster shape and gear - I came a cat's whisker away from it myself a year ago when a Hallberg-Rassey 312 came on the market in my marina. Even though the build year was only a a couple less than mine the sheer quality and extra space made me drool. But the cost (I could have just managed it but it would have hurt as I was retiring at the time) and the volvo penta and saildrive put the final clampers on it.

Whatever you're going to do, John, I hope you enjoy it and drop in to the forum sometimes.

Best,

Brian.
