Hi, I am in the process of having a 1979 Trapper 500 surveyed with the 501 layout. I am aware that the stanchion bases hasve historically been an issue, and there is soimething known as "Trapper Smile" relating to the keel - although I don't know how serious it is or difficult to fix.

Could anyone tell me the things I need to be looking out for, and whether they're expensive to do.

She has roller reefing on the boom still - is it a difficult thing to upgrade, etc..

It's all so overwhelming :~(
