certainly rotate the end fitting to get a new location for the mainsheet, as brad says the proctor fitting has three holes on one side and onwe on the other.

You don't have to change the boom to fit slab reefing and the mods to the main should be very cheap too but you can get your first season in with roller reefing and get used to the boat first whilst you decide what to do.

When I ordered a new main I had it designed for both roller and slab reefing with three reefing points for slab and battens placed parallel to the boom for roller.
