The general US population isn't psychic not do they read every obscure news source in the world like some people (inculding me! haha) The average person in the US has never even heard of 365gay.com, indie media, or the london whatever.

They watch news on TV, listen to radio, and read the local paper to find out whats going on in the world. How does that in any way translate to "the American people are sheep. The American people are very easily misled."

What an insult to practically everyone in this country, more than half of whom did NOT vote for this administration.

How can you call these all these intelligent, caring, responsible, good people "sheep" and "easily misled?" Based on what? Generalizations off the top of your head?

That is simply not true. Do you honestly expect every person in the entire United States to sit glued to a computer screen, going over search engines looking for news coverage from Europe, the middle east, or some third world country as their primary source of US news? Get real! People have very complex lives. They are lucky to sit down and watch 15 minutes of news coverage a day.

When they get those 15 minutes, they look to the media for information, the way they've always done. Why would the average person in America distrust everything the news tells them? Because you think they should? They know Peter Jennings and Dan Rather. They've never heard of Drew Greyfox or crzypunx. haha.

Everyday people who get their news information from multiple sources - TV, radio, daily paper - are NOT at all being "easily misled." There are no alternative sources of information available for mass consumption.

Which means it is the media and our elected government officials that are failing this country - NOT THE PEOPLE.
