The program seems to always crown the “sweet non-threatening girl,” who will do everything the program wants her to do rather than a forward thinking teen. I am not saying the girl needs to be controversial and outspoken, but rather someone who has her finger on the pulse of today’s society and understands teens. Instead we crown yet another non-memorable titleholder who I am sure will do a great job, but will remain bland and boring. Among the top 12, RI would have been my selection, as I think she is more of a representation of today’s teen. | |
