• Good Morining Everyone! We're already at Episode 7, can you believe it. It was another Great Episode with lots of Great Messages.... -- KH, 17:41:00 07/20/09 Mon
  
  First off let's start with the Holden Family getting prepared prepared for Haneen to come and stay with them for awhile. It was visibly difficult for Claudia Joy preparing Amanda's old room for Haneen and you could definitely see it in her body language. And being a Mom of two amazing daughters myself, can I just say my heart was with her. It was so nice to see how connected Michael is with Claudia Joy and how well they communicate together. Such amazing insight into each other these two have. I was very impressed with Emmalyn last night on how she's really gone out and embraced Haneen. Last nights scene with Haneen, Emmalyn, Claudia Joy and Roland was so touching, especially the scene with Claudia Joy and Emmalyn when they are hugging and comforting each other. WOW, very well done and I think Emmalyn has finally gotten some closure on her sisters death and begin to move forward. Great scenes!
  
  Pamela and the football team...LOL. Pamela was a little ticked off and a little uncomfortable with how the coach leads the team. When Pamela says to Chase "what's the point of winning if you can't rub someone's face in it" was so wrong. Chase was right, showboating is wrong and gloating and rubbing someone's face in your victories or success is an awful thing to do and doesn't speak much for your character. I was a little surprised to see Pamela acting this way and the viewpoint she was trying to express because she's normally a very caring and understanding person. A little hot headed...LOL, but nonethe less she is definitely not petty and I don't think she would normally kick someone while they were low or down.It was nice to see and hear Chase try to explain things to her and get her to see things from a different viewpoint and the lightbulb moment for her when she finally got the message the Coach was trying to portray and get the kids to practive in their lives. Another Great message from these encounters. Now, can I just say we need to enroll Pamela in a cooking school of some sort, can I just say I was quite scared when she was attacking the chicken with the knife...LOL. If was definitely worried about anyone that was in her space...LOL.
  
  I just think that Lucky is so adorable. I was a tad upset with Roxy last night on how she was treating Lucky. Being a dog lover/animal lover myself, I thought OK Roxy, you'd better turn around or I might have to have words with you...LOL. The end scene where Lucky wanted to come in the bed with Roxy and Trevor was so cute, and I thought I bet he's in bed with them the next scene...LOL. I was right...WoooHooo...LOL. I think that it is Lucky's mission to win Roxy over and I'll bet they'll be the best of friends. Go Lucky!
  
  The scenes with Joan and Evan were amazing. Can I just say I just can't wait for Evan to get his. I still can't believe he brought up Joans PTSD and cut her down for it. I think that was probably the lowest blow to date I've seen this guy deliver. Loved how Joan took him down and called him a "Pencil Pusher". Again such Great interaction and don't think Joan is down and out because of her leak in her group. I wouldn't be surprised if Joan is aware of her little mole and has a back-up plan in her pocket for just the occassion. Joan definitely knows the type of man Evan is and definitely would not rule out any low and underhanded attempt he might make to take her down. She'll be prepared and she will Kick...his...a@$...LOL. I just love Joan in military mode.
  
  Now we come to Denise and Frank. Wow, how obvious was it to see at breakfast how much trouble these two have communicating. Definitely the polar opposite of Claudia Joy and Michael. It was touching to see how patient Denise is being with Frank and in return it was touching and refreshing to see Frank not jump on Denise in his usual way when she apologized again to him and tried to start explaining and talking about it. I loved how when they realized they had no clue who to go about it and when Denise suggested they get help, Frank was genuinley receptive. I do have to say I really like the councelor. It was also interesting to see the differences in these two people, Denise is definitely more open to communicating and I think would be very good at it, while Frank has a very hard time with it and just has no clue how to communicate in a relationship other than soldier. You could just tell that in their individual appraisels of their relationship. Denise was the one that had explained everything to the councelor. Denise explained to him that one of their stalemates is that she feels they should talk about things and Frank doesn't. And it was all done in a respectful way, much better than their last attempt at counseling. The date was very cute and it looks like these two are really trying to move forward and I finally saw the love in Frank's eyes when he looks at Denise. This is a much better Frank than what we've been privy to the first 2 1/2 seasons IMHO. So hopefully this trend continues. I do hope they show more of the counseling and we get to see these to talk things out as well, because I think it's very important for them to get "everything" out in the open so they can really start anew. We'll have to wait and see, but I hope they don't just skip over that part, because I think it's a very important thing for these two in order to get out all the anger and hurt so they can really learn to slowly move forward, trust and be close. The writers have been doing such a Great job this Season and I think they could really do justice to scenes like that. It's a beginning so let's keep it going!
  
  As for next week...LOL, I just cracked up at the party at Pamela's house next week. Like Pamela said, "It's always the quiet ones"...LOL. OMG, we went from a housewares party to a sex toy party...LOL...too funny! This is gonna be good, the look on Rolands face was priceless...LOL.

Its nice to see a show that is strong enough to put religion back on television as well!!!!!   • Hi KH another wonderful summary, thanks. Your description of knife wielding Pamela had me in stiches, LOL! Ya I was thinking Chase, don't get too close. I loved Pamela's crack about cubic zirconia with respect to that cat LOL! Show boating especially at that age level was a no no.Glad Emmalin got a chance to release some of her grief. I had to respect Frank for not allowing Denise to flagellate herself over her affair. I think she feels she owes him an explanation and he feels knowing the details would be of no benefit. He is genuinely at a loss how to repair things as he knows he has failed his wife on some level but is uncertain how to do better. Love that he is open to trying even though it goes against his usual method of operation. Love the tender way they are writing the Sherwood reconciliation and like you, I hope they show more and not skim over this. LOVED LOVED this ep=Frank SO earned so many points- I just loved the communication and connection they are really trying to re-establish. It is so ironic- Haneen loses a sister in a war torn country and comes here to be safe. • FYI for you guys. I talked with the director of this event and it was explained to me that this is NOT a tentative list of celebrity participants. The celebrities they listed they got from the main organization of celebrities that have participated in different past events with them. It was expressed that at this time they don't know which celebrities have actually been asked and won't know who is on the list until closer to the event. That is what they meant by possible celebrity participants. So we're gonna have to check back later on to see exactly who was asked and who is going to actually play.   First of all, wasn't it just Great to see all the girls back together again laughing and having a good time baking together. The only one missing was Roland. And Emmalyn seemed glad to see Denise again, it's been a while. Emmaly in still giving her parents a run for their money...LOL. Roxy's line to Pamela was just a hoot, "Uh uh Moran, you're a danger to cooking everywhere, sit down. Stay!...LOLOLOL.
  
  Lucky the dog, too cute! I wouldn't have been able to leave him at the pound either. I think Lucky will be great fun for the kids and I'll bet Roxy will fall in love with him as well eventually. I wonder what Jeremy is goinig to think when he comes home. Will he be happy for Lucky or will he want him himself. But by that time you certainly can't try to take the dog away from the kids.
  
  I think Haneen will be the catalyst to help repair things at the Holden household between Michael, Claudia Joy and Emmalyn. We once again have Claudia Joy getting Michael to use his command influence to get something done. Don't get me wrong I think what they are doing for little Haneen is good, sometimes I just find myself thinking and wondering if that's legal or if Michael could get into trouble for some of the things he does for his wife.
  
  Pamela and Chase were having more trouble this week, but it was nice to see him apologize to her in church and her apologizing to him.
  
  Some seriousness and some humor with the Burtons tonight. Joan was all Lt. Colonel mode and marching down to headquarters ready to take charge and then get there and find a dog was just too funny. I always love the lighthearted comedic moments of the show, it's always such fun mixed in with the drama. Roland and Terrance are sure oil and water aren't they...LOL. I'm starting to think that Terrence is really a good guy and really wants to help people, he just doesn't go about it the right way or through the proper channels. I have to say I'm enjoying the interaction between these two. How confusing and scary it has to be for the young girl Haneen, to be injured with no family and in a foreign country to try and get surgery to repair her arm. She sure seems like a very strong little girl though and from the looks of it I think she will be bonding with Emmalyn.
  
  Now onto Denise and Frank. I have to say this week that I finally felt something from Frank other than his usual rigid, stoic self. Finally I saw some vulnerability from Frank and softer feelings. I have to say it was very refreshing to see and my heart actually went out to him. In reading the interview with Catherine down below (I just love all of her interviews, they are always so positive and uplifting. They are such a pleasure to read), with regards to the word "misunderstood" describing Frank, I do have to say I really don't agree with that word. IMHO with Frank, the creators/writers have penned Frank since the very beginning as being rigid, stoic. a bit cold and controlling. I think it was an error on their part and that has been the problem why some fans haven't warmed to Frank "the character". And realize we are talking about Frank "the character". So now maybe we will continue to see a softer side to Frank. It's always stated that Frank adores Denise. Well, I want to see it and feel it. I want to see Frank love, support, encourage, value and respect her. I'm hoping that tonight was a big breakthrough and we'll be seeing more of this Frank and even alot more emotion from him. It's going to be a long struggle and a lot of work for these two, but with time I think they'll mend their marriage. The scene at the very end when Frank approached Denise was very touching. He actually showed weakness in the fact that he basically said without words that he didn't know how to fix it, but. Very Cool!
  
  I just love the Christening. It was very unlifing and the words of the service were very uplifting and touching. Congratulations should go out to the writer who penned that speech. It was a very nice touch while going through the service that they focused on each one of the families of this show and touched on what aspect each one was going on in their life and having a bit of closure on each one. Just so very well done. It was very obvious that they were all very touched by the ceremony. And like I said above the ending scene with Denise and Frank was very touching and now the work begins. Once again I have to throw in on how absolutely adorable the baby is that plays Sara Elizabeth. Oh my gosh what a beautiful little girl.
  
  Well done writers and actors. I'm very impressed and pleased with how the new writers have taken the reigns this season. They are doing an outstanding job.
  
  Now...commenting on the scenes they showed at the end of the episode tonight. We really didn't get to see so much episode previews for next week, we got more of a conglomeration of scenes from various episodes. And can I just say that ILMAO at the very last scene in particular with Joand and Evan. "I'm...gonna...kick...your...a@$!!!"...LOLOLOLOLOL! Go Joan, I'm so looking forward to seeing her kick his butt in the war games.
  
  I hope everyone enjoyed the episode as much as I did and once again looking forward to next week.\

I do have to say I'm not a fan of Frank but i was thrilled that he chewed Michael out for his rude mouth. Sometimes Michael ticks me off too when he gets on his high horse.   Jolene Rice posted another message on my Facebook page about the "fun action type movie" that she has planned with Catherine. (that makes it not a secret so it's ok to post on here LOL!!)
  
  Here is what she posted!
  
  "Yes, do look out for it. It will be written by me and Catherine's husband Adam, who originally came up with the idea. He's a totally awesome guy and really fun to work with. He wants to see his wife kicks some butt!!"
  
  This is soooo exciting and even more so now that we know Adam is co-writing it with her.
