  A while back when I first started to like Catherine, I remember her putting up recipes that she liked or something to that point. And since recently I've been craving it and save-a-lot generic brand mac and cheese and what not as well as Little Debbies are starting to kill my brain (this is why I've recently invested in a boxing bag) I figured I'd come here and ask all of you. :D So, does anyone have those recipes or know where I can find them?   • First off my prayers are with you and your family Rebel...secondly, I am always amazed at the charity work that CB does. This is such a worthy cause that she participates in. She has to be the most unselfish and caring person in her industry. This is why I do get tired of seeing Scientology get a bad rap- they are no different than Catholics who do charity work (I use Catholic as an example b/c I myself am one). If the media were to show this side of Scientology instead of the sensationalism that they obviously go overboard with, Scientology wouldn't have such a bad rap.   • Linda...I am not sure but I think DVD players from the US are area or zone 1 and maybe that is the reason it will not play in Au. Might be it is not area 1. Could be a problem.   Someone had posted that this movie was to come on again Friday nite March 7th at nine. I saw it on my tv menu on thurs nite & fri. nite I was all set to the dvr. & when I went to the grid on the tv screen to tape it, it wasn't there. What happened? Does anyone know?   • Ok so when I saw this I was jumoing up and down for joy!!!!!!! :) It has been a LONG week w. the kiddies-they are taking their Maryland State Assessments in less than 2 weeks!!! Hard to believe!! They are so nervous about it and we have been trying like crazy to make it fun for them so they dont worry. Poor lil guys- they shouldn't have to have school stress at age 8/9!!! Anyway wish us luck yall!!!!! Getting back to AW :) SO PYSCHED!!!!!! I am in countdown mode as we speak- well for school and AW- coincidentally school ends when AW begins ;-) Cant wait to see this very very fun DVD!!!!! Sounds soooo awesome!!!!   I just woke up and my sister-in-law told me that she saw on some show that Catherine was supposed to be on a magazine cover, but doesn't remember which one. Does anyone know? I hope so because, I made the most weirdest sound when I found out.
  
  On a side note, my niece Chelsey, who is 5 until April, was sitting on my lap while I was looking at pictures and watching videos of Catherine and she wants to kiss and marry her. I found it the cutest thing. Though she's said that to me too. Its adorable. Just felt the need to share :)

    • Hi Aubrey, these aren't new episodes yet. What Lifetime is doing is Rerunning Season 1 of "Army Wives" in lead up to Season 2 the beginning of June. The Reruns of Season 1 started last night at 10:00 p.m. on Lifetime and will continue each week at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday nights. I hope that answers your question.   • i just love all Catherine's films. i wish i were ritch and could be sure all true fans have copy of all recently got both her Vanishing son episodes. it is so much fun to see her development in 13 years into , i think, just about the best actress we have on the screen today. so much fun to watch the old ones then see the SSV, TGW and AW. she has worked very hard to become the star she is today.   As you can see, this main index is rather empty. I have put back the 2 messages from MacManners but those will appear later in the day.
  
  This emptyness is because in the past 3 days, I had to delete 60+ spam posts which took over the entire main index (and part of archive 1).
  
  I have blocked the IP address they came from but if this still doesn't work (which might be the case...we're talking 'spam' after all), I might make this message board 'locked' with an entry code (you know, those letters/numbers that are in a box that you have to copy).
  
  I hate to do that but if these spams keep on coming, I have to. With making the board entry-code available, I will be able to block those automatic spams.
  
  Lets keep our fingers crossed that by blocking the IP address it is resolved but if not, you know that when you come here and find a code to enter before your post can be posted, you know why.

  'Army Wives' ready to return to work

  With the Writers Guild of America strike over, filming is set to begin next month on the second season of the popular cable television show "Army Wives," which is set and made in Charleston.
  
  Production of the Lifetime Network series was scheduled to begin last November, but the Hollywood labor stand-off dimmed the lights for more than three months.
  
  With an agreement now reached between the writers union and producers, scripts can be written and the cameras can roll.
  
  Filming will begin March 19, said Chandler Hayes, a publicist with ABC Studios in Los Angeles. He could not confirm when the new season will air, though online reports say could be as soon as early summer.
  
  Robbin Knight, president of the Carolina Film Alliance, who is familiar with the production company's schedule, said shooting is expected to last at least six to eight weeks initially.
  
  Lifetime has ordered 18 new episodes of "Army Wives" for 2008, which likely means filming will last months rather than weeks.
  
  During filming for season one, cast and crew were on set in the city for a total of about five months. That shoot wrapped last summer.
  
  "Army Wives," starring Catherine Bell and Kim Delaney, revolves around a group of military spouses and is Lifetime's highest-rated show ever, according to the cable network. Much of the show is shot on the former Navy base in North Charleston.
  
  A host of local companies supply the production with everything from drinking water and paint to lumber and clothing. Businesses that were banking on income from the show before the holidays have waited patiently for filming to begin.
  
  During the show's first season, area businesses collectively raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars from the production.
  
  Filming was put on hold when 12,000 Writers Guild members walked out Nov. 5 after failing to agree to a new contract with producers. The dispute centered on payments to writers for content that is made available digitally on the Internet, mobile phones and other devices.
  
  The strike ended after a deal was reached last week.
  
  Knight said everyone locally connected with the show is eager to get back to work. He is hoping filming will be in the can before the next industry strike, which is expected to hit in the summer.
  
  A contract with the Screen Actors Guild expires June 30, and the union is expected to follow the writers guild and go on strike if they aren't able to reach a similar deal.

  • Lucky you!!! I have just watched again the first season of AW and I like it even better than the first time around! It is well written and even if reality is stretched a bit in order to fit so many events in a short amount of time, it is never cartoonish or shallow. The stories sound real, the emotions are real. Even if I started watching because of Catherine, I now like the characters, even Lenore Baker, lol, she is a good and believable "baddie". And obviously, Catherine is awesome!
