Ravin stared into Jade's eyes as he listened to her story with interest. He had a gut feeling that she wasn't telling them everything, but he couldn't blame her for holding back a little. It would take time for Jade to trust them just as it would take time for them to feel the same about her.

The noisy arrival of the rest of their group made him turn, relief filling him when he saw they were all safe. When Jade asked about clothing, he glanced at the women present since he wasn't sure if any of his garments would fit her. Tia immediately dug through her pack, handing Jade a pair of dark slacks, tunic, and soft brown ankle high boots.

Ravin turned to smile at Isobel when she slipped an arm around him before going on to tell him she had a run in with some ghouls. His smile vanished when she slumped against him, saying she needed a doctor. Before he could call out, Argus was there, placing his hands on her and chanting the words to a spell. Ravin breathed a sigh of relief when the color returned to Isobel's face. He cradled her head in his lap and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "You shouldn't to go around getting yourself hurt because it worries the hell out of me," he said, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

He glanced up when Jeremy accidentally stubbed his toe on his leg in his rush to get to Argus. "I got scratched by one of those ghouls," the boy said, pointing to some bloody streaks on his neck. "I'm not going to turn into a ghoul am I?"

Ravin chuckled then turned his attention back to Jade. "What kind of weapons are you proficient with? A few of those Sharm carried maces, and we have a few extra swords strapped to camels we left hobbled just outside the ruins. There might also be weapons and armor stored in one of the rooms in this tower that we haven't searched yet."

"I happened to peek into one of the rooms on the second level," Tia said. "It looked like a kitchen."

Ravin nodded his head. "They would try to have all the comforts of home here if they were using this as one of their bases of operations. Once everyone is up to it, I think we should check out the rest of the tower rooms before we head out to explore more of the city ruins." He glanced at the torches in the wall sconces. At least they had something to light their path outside now. Lit torches might attract the attention of other denizens hiding in the area or they might keep them at bay since many creatures were afraid of fire.
