Subject: Sorry for your personal loss Surf. I saw the first night shuttle go off from my vantage point on the banks of the Banana River back in the 80's. It is impressive to watch but I wonder if the returns of the space program are really worth the expenditure. Also, how much grief can the media wring out of events like this, especially after 9/11? Accidents happen, they still happen with jet liners.
