Subject: I know that top level programs like Kansas and Duke have accepted "commitments" from top recruits from the class of 2006 already. However, I believe these are merely verbal commitments and are not binding.
In reply to: West Ram 's message, "There has been speculation on the board that we may hold our remaining scholarship until next year. The reason offered is that several players available in 2006, some of whom we are supposedly "in tight" with, are more talented and better suited to our program and our needs than those currently available. My question is: should one or more of those players be currently ammenable to signing a NLI, can we sign him this Spring, or do we have to wait until the Fall?" on Sun April 10, 2005 13:55:55
