• Another mix up in last night's games was the call in the Duke/MSU game in which Shelden Williams dunked it home, it cleared the cylinder and popped out. Packer and Nantz were quick to say it was a hoop as initally called by the refs, but they did a great job of backtracking once the refs took the 2 points off the board. I hate Packer.   • I thought it was a hoop but Duke's TO's cost them the game not that call. How about the clock oerator not starting the clock on the inbound at the end of the 1st half!!! Unreal.     • I've never seen a Duke team committ so many turnovers like that. You are right bfg, that is what cost them the game. They may have had some sloppy ballhandling and crappy passing, but I think the refs let a lot go. Ewing and Redick were getting hacked a lot of those steals.       • you're right about the refs. I thought it was a pretty physical game and the refs let alot go. That being said, until the final 2 mins when Duke started to foul, the refs had called 3-4 more PFs on MSU than on Duke. (NT) -- bfg, Sat March 26, 2005 11:42:22

• I suggest you start rooting for Nova , Georgetown and any other Catholic university that is in the NCAA tournament. They are similar to Fordham in many, many ways. There is a bigger picture her than your personal feelings about coaches or other secondary considerations. Fordham's administrators and Board are watching the Catholic school's progress in the NCAA's and the NIT, and it affects the future support of our program.       • I find that to be a very difficult way to root. I often go into a game thinking I am going to root for a certain team b/c it is better for Fordham, a pick I have made in my NCAA pool or some other personal reason and later find that I wind up rooting for the other team. It happened recently in the HC vs. St. Joe's game in the NIT. It would be better for FU to have an A-10 team do well, but next thing you know HC made a run and I noticed that I was rooting them on.         • I find that happening to me sometimes too, but I've actually trained myself to root for the team I think will help Fordham if they win.           • I tend to view all of college sports as being just six degrees of separation from Fordham. I care about teams to the extent they have any bearing on Fordham and it's future.
