The extension is only for one year. It seems like a fairly minimal vote of confidence although it puts Solomon there through 2009. I think a lot remains to be seen with this. (NT) -- Ram6it, Thu March 31, 2005 15:29:11

The big thing with the extension is that it puts him there long enough for the incoming class to graduate which is big with the Spring signing period coming up. They really should have extended him 2 years so that those HS juniors that they are recruiting would be there through the end of Solomon's contract. It really does make recruiting a bit easier.   - Ever heard of Charley Yelverton, Ken Charles, Tom Sullivan, Bart Woytowicz, Jack Burik and Bill Mainor? Or several other recruiting classes like that with Ed Conlin, etc?
