      • I don't have any insight into the recruit, and frankly, neither did you. I was only posting what I had seen on the Rivals Hoops website, because I thought it might be of interest to the Fordham baskeball community. Go ask the staff, like you usually do, as to our status with the kid, and stop pretending that Deep Throat is providing your information. I don't always have information on these recruits beyond what is posted on these websites, and quite often, neither do you. If you'll recall, you claimed that players like Melvin Calhoun were being recruited by Fordham (per Scout.com) when clearly this was never the case. So I'd be careful when you talk about "providing perspective" on these recruits, because you seldom do.         • Your statements above are all inaccurate, as usual. We did recruit Calhoun for a time as a backup, and the player you posted about is not even on our radar screen. We are looking at hundreds of players right now, he's not even close to a priority. How's that for perspective? And your statement that I talk to our coaching staff is one of your typical shots in the dark. Sorry, wrong again. But keep trying if you like. The hole keeps getting deeper.           • Why don't you go call his coaches at Port Chester High School and see if Fordham ever showed up for a game to see him play, and if they did, if they ever came back. The Iona coaches were on him hard the whole time, attended his games and practices, and they landed him. I know, because I was at some of those games. Fordham was never in the picture, outside MAYBE a phone call to the coach. If you could pull your inflated head out of your ass for a minute, and stop relying on everything you read on recruiting sites, you might realize that what you're saying has zero substance. Fordham was never a contender for the kid (perhaps because they backed off), but Iona and Northeastern were. But thanks for playing. Our coaches have seen him play a number of times in AAU games and at Port Chester and he was considered as a backup recruit at one point, but the decision was made not to go after him. If you'd been to this gym, you would know that. The gym is tiny. So please, stop the ridiculous speculation, because that's all you do- speculate about players you've never seen and know nothing about. Have you ever seen Calhoun play? Do you know anything about him other than what some coach told you? We both know the answer, and it's a negative.
