• Coach W's comments on scheduling were a bit surprising given what he said in the Cincy Post earlier, but I think it helped confirm that what was said in the Cincy Post was selective and did not reflect DW's entire thoughts on scheduling. He feels we should schedule enough winnable games, but at the same time include a few games vs. marquee opponents. I think using Dayton's schedule from this season as an example makes sense. They had 8 home games to 3 away games. They lacked a truly "marquee" opponent, but you have to like the # of home games and their OOC SOS of 42. (NT) -- JóDete93, Sat March 12, 2005 17:34:31

• Also said that he considers Dunston one of the top forwards in the country, and hopes that team continue to double him because Fordham will take advantage of that, and Dunston's going to get his points anyway.     • One other DW comment I found interesting. On recruiting, he said we "possibly will sign another recruit this Spring". It's clear if he doesn't get who he wants, he may hold the scholarship. He has said in the past that he won't just sign a player for the sake of signing a player. He wants good players from winning programs that want to be at Fordham. Hope Chris Lowe is listening. • Just wanted to point out that I felt your quote of DW regarding the new arena is a bit out of context, Rambacker. I, for one, am not a supporter of a new arena - not for several years, at least. DW said essesntially that a new arena would be nice, but that was just one facet in running a basketball program at the highest level. I think our in-house problems should be addressed before we take on the idea of a new 7,500 seat arena for the 2,500 fans we typically draw. And I think Whitt would agree.   • The statement wasn't out of context. It was exactly what he said. He did also mention that good programs are solid in many ways top to bottom, but not in context with the arena comments. I would suggest that your positioning of his comments is out of context. But I agree that we need to improve some internal elements of our program. What do you think needs to be improved?     • Quoting someone word-for-word does not necessarily guarantee that the quote is given in context. By definition, context is what surrounds the quote, and not the quote itself. And I'm fairly certain that he brought up the whole "running a program at the highest level" thing in his response to the arena question.
