Subject: Not to mention that Carroll was injured for the majority of the early season. That was the biggest factor in their dismal OOC record. Did you happen tosee that only SJU and Temple got invites to the NIT - bye bye rat face.
In reply to: JóDete93 's message, "You are absolutely right J92, you cannot have it both ways, but somehow the NCAA Selection Committee has it both ways every year. For one team they will argue the conference record and for the next they will argue the out of conference. In my opinion they do not look at SOS all that much, at least not in the OOC so it and as long as teams do not load up solely on cupcakes, it pays to schedule winnable games. I think what hurt St. Joe's the most was that it was hard to argue that they had a rough start when the loss to Penn and drubbing by Nova (a good team) were during the conference schedule and they also lost to URI late, albeit right after the Temple goon-gate situation." on Sun March 13, 2005 22:37:45
