I think you are trying to prove a point to the wrong person. I was the one explaining why Iowa got in, not why they did not deserve to be in. Their overall season record is better than Iowa's and their out of conference strength of schedule and RPI are solid enough to get them in. Maybe all the numbers I provided confused you into thinking that I was arguing that Indiana should have been included, but I was not. My ultimate point is that the committee is showing that it does not pay to have a top 15 to 20 OOC SOS if you do not win. It therefore makes more sense to have an OOC SOS close to or below 100 with a few added victories. Both Indiana and St. Joe's are proof of that, though GW getting a 12 seed makes me wonder a bit about that b/c it looks like they would have been out had they not won the A-10. -- Fordham Rams Basketball Message Board
