Although it's said a few times that Teg probably fathered many children for the BG the one that focus is placed on is Dar.

At the end of Heretics, Taraza is Mother Superior in Heretics and is killed on Rakis. Dar is there and saves Tar's memories becoming Mother Superior (which is later confirmed by the rest of the sisterhood.

Dar is true Attreides, her particular form of talent came in the form of protecting the sisterhood. She had a limited prescience that could detect dangers to the BG as a whole.

Tar knew this and used it but never let Dar run wild with it, nor did Dar ever make the mistakes of Muad'Dib and try to see too much.

All Atreides have wild talents, the descendents of the Kwisatz Haderach (Paul) will all have a wild talent waiting for enough spice to bring it to life.

Dar's limited use of spice as a BG brought out enough of her talent. Were she to take larger doses she too could expand her abilities. She even mused about taking the sandtrout skin. (she could do it)

Teg was special. The savage pain of his transformation ignited his special talent.

The mass sharing you speak of takes place much later on in Chapterhouse. From the book....

Tamalane leaned toward Sheeana. The strictures of great age and imminent death made this a welcome thing for her but Sheeana involuntarily pulled away.
