Subject: What made Teg what he is...
In reply to: theButterfly 's message, "Miles Teg: an interesting type of prescience" on 23:16:49 05/11/03 Sun

Consider that Teg is already the father of a generation that seems to show no skills on par with his. (This is good because otherwise they would have been put to death by the BGs in fear of the danger of prescience.) But neither did he show these skills for most of his life. Obviously, he was "transformed" into what he is now by the pain and/or probe that inflicted the pain on him by the HM's henchman. So, could this ability be latent in his descendants? Will there be a way to awaken these abilities in other characters? If Miles is the next step in human evolution, wouldn't we see this ability in his offspring? It seems to me that Frank is building an army to fight a powerful and prescient enemy...
But whenever I get too comfortable with the prescient machine theory I remember our little group of runaways, and I have to wonder how they will fit into all of this.

BTW, can someone refresh my memory on Teg's daughter, and her story? I can't quite remember which one was Dar and which was Tar, the Sea Child, who shared with whom to become the new keeper of the BG plans...please enlighten me.
