Subject: my cat may be dying...
In reply to: BFIH 's message, "Glad I didn't go the ring route bro" on 21:39:41 01/03/05 Mon

seriously, I think she's knocking on heaven's door. She's in the kitty hospital. I took her there on Sunday when I noticed she was basically lying on the floor not moving at all and just had faraway eyes. I coaxed her into walking to me - about five feet - and she could barely make it. Took her straight to the vet. They said she has some sort of mass on her abdomen and is severely dehydrated. They've done some tests but apparently haven't gotten the results back. No improvement in her condition despite rehydrating IVs.

Anyway, I bring this up now for two reasons. First, to say that you sure as heck stole my thunder. And second, to say that if there was a God, it'd be her cat, not mine getting the CAT-scans and whatnot. Okay, not really. Doesn't sound like she did anything particularly wrong, other than not knowing a damn good thing when it's sitting right next to her.

Hey, BFIH - obviously it goes without saying that I'm very sorry to hear all of this. Credit to you for handling everything like the mature and caring adult that you are.

Hang in there, boss.
