Hi Mike

Well in terms of tidying the place up there is a redevelopment plan. However, since I understand it involves knocking down the Arcade, which along with the Foundry Bridge is just about the only distinctive thing about the town centre, I am not convinced.

But the thing we really need for thriving shops and a vibrant town centre is more money in the town. I know I've been criticised on here before for suggesting we need more people with money in Abertillery but I'd be more inclined to take the criticism onboard if the people concerned could come up with an example of a vibrant, attractive - and poor - town.

Discuss.

        Re: What about a motel or lodging, if they want to promote tourism and people visiting the area wirth a view to buying permanent accomodation will need somewhere to stay as they did in the 1900's.
