SALCOMBE SEE OFF ARGAUM'S FIGHTBACK

Salcombe took a 13-point interval lead against the slope in a close-run match at Roborough. Winger Lee King and Mark Lidstone scored the tries with full back Lidstone adding a penalty.

In the second half, Argaum came back with tries of their own as number eight Matt Mathews grounded from a penalty move and winger Kevin Quigley touched down either side of a breakaway try from Salcombe's Ashley Spencer.

The Salcombe fly-half went in under the posts after a passage of play through the visiting backs.

Salcombe went down to 14 men with a sin-binning and Argaum pressed them down to the wire but failed to make the points as an end to end attack was cut short by Salcombe
