I know that GL is also into other types of toys other than 12 inch figures from TUS. I know personally he enjoys 60's and 70's Space items and various TV characters. I have found a board that talks about Action Figures that are movie related. The board moderators seem pretty cool. I have posted a few pictures from Flying tiger 62 and also GI John's collection. (GL, you really need to see that room of his) it's like a toy museum for all things from the 80's). Just wanted the guys from the board to go see some more One Shot pictures of various toy collections.

One of fellow troopers sent me an email and asked me a question, and unfortunately it didn't ring a bell. I was wondering if any of you knew what site he was taking about. Here's the email:
-------------------------------------
I saw a website selling 1/6 scale signs, maps, bottles, and other hard to find items for Dragon figures and cannot locate it now. Do you know of such a site? Thanks for any help.

Know what site he's referring to?

Ok troops, time for the last site update of the week. And it's another photo story episode, so let's get right to it then!
Returning to wrap up another week is our old friend Okimbored with part 3 of his WWII Town of Beuville storyline, continued from photo set 3611. In this episode, we pick up where we left off with that Dieter character still hung up on that French female postwoman, Ms. Nicole. It seems like even though she's been putting him off, he is not having any of it. In this episode, we see him getting into a little trouble over that situation. Again, some nice pics and dialog from our old friend and his town is really looking sharp. Definitely a cool new episode from Okimbored. So if you've been following this one like I have, then be sure to check out this cool new installment. Special thanks from Okimbored for sending this new one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Well guys, I guess that wraps up this week. I do have a couple things left in the bin though that I didn't get to this week, so next week should start off pretty cool as well. So be sure to come on back regular time, Sunday night/ Monday morning when we'll get this whole thing started up again. Until then... take it lite men.
Have a great weekend guys!
Sharp Salute!

Hello guys, I am posting on my annual Christmas box that I do for a kid I know. I work with this years kid; “Grayson”. He is totally into WWII and knows ALOT about the war and has FDR speech memorized by heart. He loves everything about WWII especially the Pacific theatre; the marines and ships are his favorite.
I have done this in the past for other kids and had a really good turn out. I know it is kind of like Bears Operation toy box that he does, but not as big. I focus on one child and only that child.
So if any of you guys would like to contribute to "Grayson's" toy box this year by donating any old, used or new WWII toys to make his Christmas extra special this year; do so by emailing me at my email address. I have had a few guys here already email me and notify me of incoming packages for this cause and have gotten some as well.
Thank you for your time bros and thanks for helping out.

The stumper's strike again... No one knows what famous army was created because of an assault with a fly swatter...One clue: that army is still around today, and in fact, you can find mention of it on the current threads on this board.
Today's question: What is the only British regiment to have been massacred 3 times in the history of the regiment?

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Only one set today, but it's filled with some terrific photos. So let's get right to them!
Returning for today is our old friend Checkmate King 2 with more of his Civil War photos. It seem he and FUBAR got together for a little team up photo set featuring their combined troops. Well, actually not so little at all :) A ton of great looking Confederates and Union soldiers, as well as cannons in various scenes depicting moments from the Battle at Gettysburg and Fredericksburg. Some really cool shots of the Confederates and the Unions lined up behind that cool stone wall. Those were my favorites anyway, but there's all kinds of stuff here, like I said; artillery, officers and so on. These guys definitely pulled off a terrific photo set here. I think they're going to have to do this again soon, don't you?! If you're into that Civil War stuff, this is a must see set here. Special thanks to Checkmate King 2 and FUBAR for sending this cool photo page submission in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

I lent out my models to a company for the California state fair in Sacramento. What I sent was in good shape...what I got back was destroyed. Make sure that if an item goes out you have them sign a damage control contract with you. I did not, and my AT-ST is in pieces with a completely cracked case..and if you do n ot know how much a plex case is worth..$$ The blackhawk looks like it was dropped from about 12 feet in the air and then rope tied around the body to hold it. The whole engine compartment, landing gear, wheels, rotor head, and tail section are destroyed. This is the end of the blackhawk. This is the end of my model making career. This is about all I can't handle right now........it's been fun doing models and shows with all of you but I am giving up on the model life and just throwing everything away. They are wor5th nothing now and I am tired of trying to sell them with no luck. Maybe we will see each other at some point.

Graey's on a roll for the week, two in a row unanswered! No takers on the navy/cavalry thing, and my british historians were silent on the General of the Red Army...
Today's question: When was the last invasion of the British Mainland?
Couple hints: Today's question will help you answer yesterday's question. And, not sure it will help, but the Cavalry that captured a navy actually battled said Navy on the Sea itself. Horses capturing ships, on the Sea.

Ok troops, time for the first site update of the week. And we start off with another photo story episode. So let's not waste anymore time and get right to it!
Starting off this week is our old friend Hogie309 with a continuation from his last episode, photo set 3605. If you guys remember from the last episode, Hogie's liberators were getting some upgrades to their uniforms. Well here we get some more of that. I do believe we get to see Rich and Ilaf get their new duds today. Of course, there are some other photos of what is happening now in Marwencol, just some daily life shots. It looks like that one soldier didn't get the 411 on that Marwencol training film about the ladies of the evening :) As always, more terrific photos here from our old friend. So if you've been waiting for the next Marwencol episode like I have, then be sure to check this one out. Special thanks to Hogie309 for sending this cool new episode in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Returning for today is our old friend Irish13 with the next part of his WWII OSS story, starring Lt. Cal Lee, continued from photo set 3606. In this episode, we finally learn why ol' Cal is in Belguim and what he is after. I don't want to give any of the storyline away here, so I'll just say that this is another great batch of photos from him with some nice camera work. He's duded up a bunch of sharp looking Germans for this one too. But with Lt. Lee around, who knows how long they're going to last! :) So if you've been waiting for the next episode of our old friend's story, then you definitely won't want to miss this cool part 16. Special thanks to Irish13 for sending this new one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Well guys, I guess that does it for today. Still more great work to view from our fellow men in the field for tomorrow, so be sure to come on back and check it out. Until then... take it lite men.

I checked my mailbox today, and there was an envelope with the 'ol Sarge's name, and a really cool 1/6th image on the surface of the envelope !! Insde, were quite a few WW II propaganda Posters, and they couldn't have come at a better time, either. I've built a new,so big that I can sit inside of it, Building. It's the Marwencol Movie Theatre/Malmberg Production Studios/Town Hall :) I needed something to put on the walls of this Town Hall/USO show type building, and like a gift from above, I get posters in the mail, from good 'ol Sarge ! :) Thank you again, Greg :)

Sgt Horvath gave it a try, but the question remains unanswered: When did a Cavalry unit capture an entire nation's navy (or, almost all of it, anyway... the Navy surrendered, at least).
Today's question:
In British history, who was "The General of the Red Army"?

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Two neat sets today, so let's get right to them!
First up, our old friend Tank Mechanic, after a bit of a hiatis, is back with the next update on his Japanese tankette project. He said he was moving along pretty slow, due to real life, but he's definitely made some progress on the turret part. I have to say I can't wait to see this project when it's finished because I'm completely unfamiliar with this type of tank. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the whole thing looks like when it's done. Just a few photos in this one, so if you've been following this cool project, be sure to check this great new update out. Special thanks to Tank Mechanic for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

And last but not least for today, after quite a long hiatis, our old friend Sgt. Brasso is back with a little indoor setup featuring his Flash Force members heading out to do some crowd control at the Obama speech in Denver. It's cool to see the old baby face Sam still making it into some photos around here. Mostly 21st and Power Team stuff in this set. The shoot starts out with a few photos of their Power Team Humvee being loaded up with the necessary gear for their mission, then the last few photos show some of them on duty at the convention. So be sure to check it out! Special thanks to Sgt. Brasso for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

- Tank Mechanic, definitely enjoy seeing the update. The turret is looking way too cool. Are you using foam core poster board for the body of the tank? Sgt Brasso, you definitely have some cool looking figures, but I like all the little extras you have put in the scene. (NT) -- ilaf, 19:01:06 09/03/08 Wed
- Tank Mechanic! Wow, that thing is coming along really well. I know how slow it can be, I've found it difficult lately to spend time just on this little TUS water cooled thirty. The tank is a little beaut though. SGT Brasso, I don't know if one guy would have had much effect on those rioting idiots at the DNC, but packing that forty mike mike is a wise idea to me. Great looking job on that HMMWV and gear. (NT) -- Rich, 15:17:44 09/04/08 Thu
- Tank Mechanic, that turret and tankette body look too Cool !!! and with that figure standing next to it, it gives a real feel for the actual size of the thing :) Sgt. Ok troops, time for the last site update of the week. Another photo story to wrap it up with, so let's get right to it!
Up for today is our old friend Okimbored with part 2 of his WWII Town of Beuville storyline, continued from photo set 3599. If you guys remember from the last episode, we got to see some of the Germans in Russia, but they were soon to be moved to Beuville and stationed there. Well, in this episode, we get to see them arriving at Beuville and a little day in the life of one of the young soldiers there. Some nice looking troops and some nice text in this one. So if you've been waiting for the second part of the Beuville story like I have, then definitely be sure to check out this new one from our old friend. - Nice naturalstic flow with your character's dialog, the setting, even though I know is shot indoors, has the light, airyness and feel of out side. Hello guys, I am posting on my annual Christmas gift box that I do for a kid I know. Today at work during lunch I was looking at one of my WWII books and one of the nurses asked me where I got this book, I told her and she replied that she needed to get it for her 12 year old son. He is totally into WWII and knows ALOT about the war and has speaches memorized by heart and all. I was impressed and asked her if he had any figures or any of the toys? She said no, cause she did not know of any. I told her of this site and she wrote it all down to give to him. I told her that I would make him my kid for this year. I have done this in the past and had a really good turn out. I know it is kinda like Bears Operation toy box that he does, but not as big. I focus on one child and only that child.
So if any of you guys would like to contribute to "Grayson's" toy box this year by donating any old, used or new WWII items to make his Christmas extra special this year; do so by emailing me at my email address. I have a large box already to start putting items in. I have gone through my collection and weeded it out for him.
So a BIG salute to any and all who participate in this cause.
Thank you for your time
Irish13 (HOH)

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Only one set today, but lots of cool pics and figures in it, so let's get right to them!
Well, up for today is our old friend One Shot. It seems he took another trip with his kids over to our friend Azteca's house to see what new stuff he had on display. And of course, Azteca surely did have some new stuff on display. He's added more of those Mexican wrestlers and he changed around some of his WWII displays, plus much much more. One Shot even took a couple of his own figures over to take a few photos of them in that little 1/6th house Azteca has. I think it was the Sideshow Freddie Krueger and the Michael Meyers Halloween figure. Definitely always a treat to see Azteca's collection. It's super impressive. Of course, One Shot always takes a great photo too. So the combination of these two things make this set a very enjoyable one, so be sure to check it out! Special thanks to One Shot for sending in these new pics and of course, to Azteca for letting us have the virtual visit. Sharp Salute!

Up for today is our old friend Warriors 1st BN with part 10 of his cool sci-fi photo story "The Mission", continued from photo set 3595. If you guys remember in the last episode, Dr. Osbourne was leading the team to the stargate so they could escape this strange world. Well, in this episode, we get the see the final leg of that journey and their arrival at the stargate they've been searching for. I don't want to give any of the story away, but needless to say, the gate is guarded. Another terrific episode here from Warriors. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens to the team next. So if you've been following Warrior's cool story, then you won't want to miss this cool new episode.
