...I would like to apologize for all the porn spam on the board lately. The guy seems to be getting straight through the CAPTCHA protection that is supposed to be completely immune to bot posts. That's why I'm thinking this a real person who is actualy typing in the captcha password. I've discussed this with Voyforums and they don't seem to be able to stop this person at the moment. I've tracked this "person" to Munich, Germany but still am uncertain if this is his real IP location or he is just going through Germany as a proxy to throw me off his scent. I will try to stop him but this stuff gets a little tricky when someone is using proxy IPs. Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm working on it and trying to do what I can. I've gotten as far a Germany though and his IP location so that's better than Voyforums had on him anyway. ;)

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. So let's not waste anymore time and get right to it!
Up for today, our old friend Hogie309 returns with the first installment of his newest photo story, The P-40 Pilot- Flying Tiger Down. This is a big photo shoot, so I'm going to break it up into installments over the next week or two. It looks like it's going to be a very cool one though, from the looks of this first installment. It looks like Captain Hogencamp is down somewhere in Japanese occupied China. As always, more terrific photos from our old friend, so be sure to check out this cool part one. Special thanks to Hogie309 for sending this new shoot in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Sorry I'm a bit late again, but let's not waste anymore time and get right to it!
Returning for today is friend and fellow trooper Sharpie with another one of his cool photo sets. This time - his Ultimate Soldier LRRP out in the field directing fire on an enemy's position. A really nice outdoor photo shoot here. Personally, I still think they look cool in an outdoor shoot, even after all this time and innovations in the action figure world. Sharpie did a really nice job on this for sure, so definitely check it out! Special thanks to Sharpie for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Up for today is our old friend Zman back with another one of his cool figure projects. This time - a medieval giant killer. More great work from our old friend again without a doubt. A really sharp looking figure and I really loved all the pieces he used and the figure's various weapons - right down to a slingshot. If you're into those ancient warrior type figures like I am, then you won't want to miss taking a peek at this one! Special thanks to Zman for sending this cool new project in and sharing it with us. Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Many apologies for my AWOL status the past couple weeks. Well - kind of basically this whole past month and a half. I don't want to get into details, but it has to do with slumlords, lawyers, judges, and a real pain in my rear. It looks like that saga is about to end though, so time to get back on a regular schedule around here. Anyway, definitely more cool stuff from our fellow men in the field to look at today, so let's get right to it!
Up for today is our old friend Pvt. Mel, back with another of his cool photos shoots. This time, a very sharp one featuring his Batman figure again. If you're a Batman fan, I have no doubt you will get a kick out of this one. It's a little photo story that harkens back to the original Batman origin story. I thought Mel did a really terrific job on this photo shoot here, so be sure to take a peek at it! Special thanks to Pvt. Mel for sending this cool set in and sharing it with us. - Sharp Salute!

Price point seems right up my alley but I was wondering about the quality for such a low priced figure. I don't know what company makes them in China but there are a lot of different ones on eBay. Can't beat a $20 figure unless he falls apart in your hands the day you get him.
So does anyone have one of these and can shed some light on them?

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Sorry I've been missing in action for a while, but it couldn't be helped. Luckily I'm freed up now, so I will try to get as much of the backlogged photos posted as I can. Anyway, let's get right to today's photos then.
Returning for today is our friend and fellow trooper from the UK, db_croker. This time, db wanted to get some shots before it got night, but night came too fast so he ended up having to do some nighttime photos. A little experimenting with some lighting and he came up with this shoot. Personally I thought they turned out quite nicely. He even used some candles to get a little bit of a smoke effect on some of them. Great work here again from db - so be sure to go take a peek at these if you have a spare minute! Special thanks to db_croker for sending these cool shots in and sharing them with us. Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. So let's not waste any more time and get right to it!
Back for today is our friend and fellow trooper from the UK, db_croker, with another one of his cool photo sets. This one seems themed around the WWII Germans and Russians again, but what is really highlighted here is db made himself a little cottage for this photo set. He says it's still unfinished, but it looks pretty cool to me as is. He did a really good job, it's got some furnishings inside and even a fireplace. DB is getting a little more serious with the themes of his shoots too. It seems like maybe the Germans took out this cottage because they were some Russian partisans, maybe. It's a cool photo shoot - I thought it had some really great camera angles as well. So be sure to go take a peek at it if you have a few minutes, there's a lot of photos here; 60 of them. Special thanks to db_croker for sending this cool photo shoot in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Returning for today is our old friend Zman with another one of his cool figures. This time we get a Civil War 1st United Stated Sharpshooter (Berdan). It looks like ol' Zman took the Sideshow uniform and put it on a nicer looking body and then of course, as always, he took a nice set of photos up against a mini dio background. A very cool looking figure without a doubt. So be sure to go take a peek at him! Special thanks to Zman for sending this cool Civil War soldier in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update. I hope everybody had a nice and safe 4th of July weekend. But time now for more great work from our fellow men in the field.
Returning for today is our old friend Nickels with a bunch of shots of his VC and NVA figures on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Once again, some really nice looking figures here from Nickels and a really sharp looking indoor setup. He's got some cool looking accessories to go along with this setup as well. Ok troops, once again I'm sorry for the delay. My bad for sure. But it's time once again for more cool stuff from our fellow men in the field, so let's get right to it!
Returning for today is our old friend The Highwayman with some photos of his Behemoth Armored transport vehicle. Wow - will you look at the size of this thing!? Behemoth is an appropriate name, without a doubt. This thing is freaking huge! The Highwayman is even able to roll a 1/6th Humvee into the back of it. The Highwayman said this thing is still a work in progress, but I have to say it's mighty impressive already. So be sure to go take a peek at it! Also, The Highwayman sent in a couple photos he did for a salute to D-Day with his Stuart tank and a few of his troops. I've added those to this set as bonus shots. Very nice work there as well, so definitely be sure to go take a peek at both these cool projects. Special thanks to The Highwayman for sending this cool stuff in and sharing it with us. Ok troops, again, sorry for the slight delay but it's time once again for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. So let's get right to it!
Returning for today is our old friend Pvt. Mel with a cool little shoot he did in his garden, called "Out on the Hunt". This one features a Native American out hunting with his horse and bald eagle. A very nice single setup here, I thought that little lizard on the rock was a really neat accessory to add in. Not sure what company made the Native American, or if this is one of Pvt. Mel's creations, but he's pretty darn sharp looking! So if you have a few seconds, be sure to go check out this Indian warrior! Special thanks to Pvt. - Hey guys.....can we fix this??? -- GreenLeader, 09:51:11 06/18/19 Tue (47-36-148-56.dhcp.knwc.wa.charter.com/47.36.148.56)
Artist Marc Ericksen, the artist who did some of the Ultimate Soldier box art, contacted me recently and told me about the Ultimate Soldier Wikipedia page and how it was woefully incomplete. It seemed the page was about to expire or something so he updated it with some information on the box art that he knew first hand. Like me, he wasn't familiar with how to go about editing a Wiki page so it looked nice like other Wiki pages. So what Marc was thinking is maybe we can update that Wiki page ourselves since we probably know more about it than anyone else.... since some of us have been here from nearly day 1 of 21st Century Toys. ;)
We need to get our facts straight and in order though. It's been 20 years and I know for me at least some of them have fuzzed in my memory or has completely gone out the window. :)
So here's my first question.....who owned 21st Century Toys? I think it was Scott Allen's dad if I remember correctly but I don't remember his name. Or did Scott actually own the thing? I don't think he did though. If I remember right Scott was only the President and CEO of 21st. Richard Regan was the Vice President of Marketing and Advertising (my old job, LOL just kidding):)
I'm going to look around and see if I can find Rex's email. I think I might have lost it in one of my many computer-deaths over the years. He would know all this stuff. Until he gets involved though it's will probably have to be up to us to give Wikipedia a decent Ultimate Soldier page with actual history and not someone complaining about the Ultimate Soldier's articulation (although justified to some extent) ;)
I would like the Wiki page to have a brief yet accurate history of the company and the figures it produced. It would end up being a novel if we went into detail about every single set. So I don't think we need to go that route, but rather maybe talk about how they were the first mass produced 12" figures that shot for true military accuracy. You remember, even the babyfaced SAMs and the first waves of modern and Vietnam stuff was pretty nice for it's time. Not as nice as 21st got later but much nicer than Classic Collection GI Joe's of that era. I also think we should try and get a complete list of the folks who worked there. We all know Rex and Arlene :) I can still remember some of the names of the folks who worked at 21st but unfortunately after all these years only a random first name or a last name....not a complete first and last name of one individual.
Anyway you think we should try to update that Wiki page?

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Once again, sorry for the delay but let's not waste anymore time and get right to it!
Up for today is our old friend Pvt. Mel with more of his 1/6th Superhero photos. It seems our old friend got a new smoke machine and this was his first chance to play with it with his figures. Definitely makes for a great looking effect in my opinion. Great stuff from Pvt. Mel, once again, without a doubt. So be sure to go take a peek at these new photos from him! Special thanks to Pvt. Mel for sending in this super photo shoot and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

- A little heads up! -- GL, 11:28:42 06/03/19 Mon (47-36-148-56.dhcp.knwc.wa.charter.com/47.36.148.56)
OK guys.... my email program just took another major dump on me. Not good at all. Several days ago, when I went into my email (to save photos for the site update) it gave me the typical "not enough space available to download all emails" thing. That's usually not a problem since I just delete some of the old ancient emails and then I compact the folders to make room for the new stuff to come in. Normal operations around here. However this time it wasn't so normal at all. After compacting the folders I noticed that the contents of every email for the past month had been wiped clean. All that was left was the email address of the person who sent it to me. I have never seen this happen before. I spent days asking for tips and tricks from all my computer nerd friends to try and retrieve what was lost. After all was said and done (I'll spare you the gory details).....it only got worse. Now every email sent to me for the past 3 months are completely gone. Not even an email address attached to an empty email remains.
Luckily I took a glance at what photo submissions were there and who sent them in before I tried to compact the folder. So I do remember what was lost I hope. So as much as I hate to inconvenience you guys, I'm going to have to ask everyone who sent me a photo submission (or some pressing question) in the last month to please resend them. I will email everyone who did send one in that I can recall but in case there is someone out there whose email I didn't see. I needed to put this request here on the board for them.
OK finally here are the photo sets I remember seeing that are gone now and will have to be resent.
db_croker - I will need you to resend emails for photo sets 4 thru 8
Sgt Howard - Resend the last email you sent.
Zman - resend the taxi guy and the game warden and anything else from that time period that you haven't seen posted yet. I think it was only those 2 though.
Hogie 309 - Please resend both of your last shoots.
If you don't see your name on that list above and you already sent me photos to post that I haven't posted yet then please resend them.
Luckily I saved our old buddy Pvt. Mel's latest photos as the new emails were coming in and before my program crashed, so look out for some new stuff from Pvt. Mel tonight. :) Again sorry for the massive inconvenience guys. I will look into replacing that old email program ASAP so hopfully this doesn't happen again. Until then thanks for your patience and understanding. Sharp salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. So let's get right to it!
Up for today is another one from fellow trooper db_croker from the UK. Definitely another neat looking outdoor photo shoot, I believe he said it was in his driveway. He said he made this one with his neighbor's shubbery clippings :) Personally, I thought he did a heck of a job with this shoot. Some very nice camera angles and of course, all his troops are very sharp looking. So be sure to go take a peek at this one! Special thanks to db for sending another cool photo shoot in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Returning for today is our old friend Zman with another of his unique 1/6th projects. This time, an old world shyster out to outwit the gullible out of their money. Definitely a very dapper looking ne'er do well here, and of course Zman put him in a great little setup and scene with lots of cool little accessories. So definitely be sure to take a peek at this guy. Awesome stuff again from Zman! Special thanks to Zman for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Sorry this one is a bit late, but I've been a little under the weather the last week. Much better now, so let's get right to it!
Up for today, our old friend Jimmy Pivo returns with a cool, new scrapbook update. It seems he recently went to the Sussex County NJ Military vehicle show and got us some great photos of the vehicles on display there. Definitely a show I would have attended if I had been anywhere close by. But lucky for us, thanks to our old friend, we get to take at least the virtual tour. Too much stuff to mention individually here, but definitely a great looking bunch of military vehicles on display that you won't want to miss! Great reference for any of you guys customizing your 1/6th versions. Special thanks to Jimmy Pivo for sending this one in and sharing it with all of us. Sharp Salute!

Up for today we have a brand new recruit db_croker from the UK. If I'm not mistaken, I do believe he said this was his very first photo shoot that he took at the end of last year. It's great to see new guys getting into the hobby. This photo set features some WWII Germans and their puppchen in a very cool snow shoot entitled "Death in the December snow". I thought he did a really darn nice job for his first photo shoot, without a doubt. So be sure to go check this one out! Special thanks to db_croker for sending this one in and sharing it with us. - Welcome aboard db ! This first photo session of yours came out Top Notch !! . . . I especially love the camera angles that you used, and even though it was overcast the snow was a great reflector for the ambient light that day. Holy smokes, and the way you used the jam for brains was Genius ; and I love the way you posed the dead SS-Nazis in the snow, because they look 'naturally' life-less. Good show, db :) (NT) -- Hogie309 (HOH), 22:50:52 04/12/19 Fri

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field, as promised. So let's get right to it!
Returning for today is our old friend Hogie309 with part two of his newest episode "The Allies in Marwendoll". Since this was a part of the last photo shoot, it's a continuation of what we saw the last time from him. Now, the Spitfire pilot is on the ground and looking for some allies. I always loved Hogie's snow shoots and this one is no exception. Tons of great snow photos and sharp looking winter dressed troops. A+ work from our old friend, as always. So be sure to check this one out! Special thanks to Hogie309 for sending this cool shoot in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Sorry again for the delay, but let's get right to it then!
Returning for today is our old friend Zman, back with another one of his classic Ghost Buster custom figures. This one is an actual real ghost buster by the name of Harry Price, who pretty much pioneered the ghost hunting process. Once again, the figure is very sharp looking and looks like he is from the early part of the 20th century. Of course, Zman has all kinds of nifty accessories to go along with him - even a 1/6th scale Fuld Ouija board! More awesome uniqueness from our old friend Zman for sure, so definitely be sure to check this one out! Special thanks to Zman for sending this cool figure in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. I meant to post this earlier, but I got sidetracked again. Anyway, let's just right to today's update.
Returning for today is our old friend Mikey with another one of his cool, custom figure projects. This one is his custom Blacksad character from the comic book series Blacksad. Personally, I'm not familiar with this comic, I had to look it up on the internet. However, as soon as the pictures came in the email, I was immediately impressed with the figure itself. A cat man in a trench coat - how cool! A very sharp looking figure here, without a doubt. Mikey is so good at these custom, one of a kind figures. So be sure to check this one out! Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. So let's get right to it!
Returning for today is our old friend Hogie309 with another cool photo shoot for us. He told me that he was waiting for the snow to film this one. Hogie has pulled out his 1/6th Spitfire and did another downed pilot photo shoot, this time crashing in the snow. It's fantastic, of course! There's almost 100 photos in this latest shoot, but today I'll be posting just half of them for time-saving reasons, so still a big photo shoot to view here. Full of, like I said, some fantastic photos. You definitely won't want to miss this one. Special thanks to Hogie309 for sending in another super cool photo shoot and sharing it with all of us. Returning for today is our old friend JR66 with three little separate photo shoots here. The first one is a cool setup of some Germans pinned down in the Ardens, the second is a cool outdoor snowshoot of some Germans under fire in Russia, and the third is a bonus set featuring some of the old Marx Best of the West stuff. Today, friend and fellow trooper Gyrene is back with more of his cool stuff. This time, a 1/6th WWI diorama depicting a scene of the US Marines at Belleau Wood. Personally, in my opinion, I think this thing is just fantastic. Gyrene did such a great job on this. I've read plenty of stuff about the Marines at Belleau Wood and I thought that Gyrene captured the whole thing in this one little diorama. Returning for today is our old friend Pvt. Mel with a little photo shoot entitled "Keeping the Streets Safe" starring his new 1/6th Batman figure. There are so many Batman figure out there nowadays, but I think this one is that Crazy Toys figure, if I'm not mistaken. Either way, it's a great looking Batman figure and Pvt. Mel has set him up in a really cool little scene that's perfectly appropriate for the Bats. I'm sure if you're a Batman fan, you'll get a kick out of this one. More great stuff from Mel as always. Ok troops, finally got another photo shoot in. I had a little email snafu going on with this one, but we finally got it all straight, so let's get right to today's photos.
Today, our old friend Nickels returns with more of his old-school Vietnam troops. This time - his mortar crews. I think we have a mixture of Hasbro, Power Team, and even an Action Man in this one.
