Hey guys Happy Turkey Day! I'm looking to add a few troops to my Civil War army. I'm going to build up my troop strength over the winter and do a new battle scene in the spring. Need a few bearded or scruffy looking fellows to take part. Does anybody have a Ultimate Soldier U-Boat Commander figure? and/or a Scud Hunter? I just need the nude figures or even just the heads....also could use a Dragon Herbert bearded head. For trade I have a TON of Ultimate Soldier WW2 stuff....some harder to find pieces like the German Elite soldier outfit gear etc. Also have some nice WW2 Dragon loose stuff....also have some nude figures and heads available Dragon, TUS, Sideshow, etc...also still have some boxed figures and equipment sets left....theres too much stuff for a complete list....but I'll try and get some kind of list together you can look over ASAP. Thanks.

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Two sharp sets today, so let's get right to them!
First up for today, our old friend Mikey is back. You guys might have been reading earlier on the board that he got the DC Direct 13inch Sgt. Rock figure. Well he took a few photos of him outdoors for us, so we could check him out better. Another pretty cool figure from DC Direct and Mikey has taken some really nice photos of him here. So if you're a Sgt. Rock fan and haven't seen this figure yet, then be sure to check him out! Special thanks to Mikey for sending these cool shots in and sharing them with us. Sharp Salute!

And last but NOT least for today, our old friend Sgt. Howard is back with another customizing tip for us, how to create and hang real wooden shingles on your 1/6th buildings. Actually this is another one of his updates on his building projects, but I put it in the custom tips section under Misc., since he gives us a step by step on how to do it. I have to say, the Sarge's building is really coming together now and with the addition of the shingles, it's just totally awesome. So be sure to go check this one out, you won't want to miss it! Special thanks to Sgt. Howard for sending this cool tip in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Well guys, I guess that does it for today. I think I'm going to cut the week short this week since probably most of us are going to be doing family things on Thursday. So be sure to come on back tomorrow night, regular time, for the last site update of the week. Until then... take it lite guys.
Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for the last site update of the week before the Thanksgiving holiday and it's a cool one for sure. So let's get right to it!
Returning to wrap up this week is our old friend Cbtengr with his scratch built multi-purpose landing craft. He can assemble it into three different forms, one your standard landing craft for hauling vehicles and troops, another is a helicopter landing pad, and the final is an anti aircraft gun emplacement. I have to say he's done an awesome job on this. I can't imagine any of you guys out there who wouldn't want this for their troops to play in :) A very cool project to be sure. You definitely won't want to miss it! Special thanks to Cbtengr for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Well guys, I guess that wraps up this week. I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving here in the US. There are several things I didn't get to post this week, so next week will definitely start off pretty cool. I do believe Sunday night's site update will be the final chapter of Hogie's "The Longest Episode", which I can't wait to see. So be sure to come on back Sunday night/ Monday morning when we'll get this whole thing started up again. Until then... take it lite guys.

- Thanksgiving Day : Things to be Thankful for ............ -- THE HIGHWAYMAN ( HOH ), 21:40:16 11/25/09 Wed (fl-71-1-146-223.dhcp.embarqhsd.net/71.1.146.223)
Like it says on the header , it's Thanksgiving Day once again , and time to count our Blessings , and to give Thanks
for what we've got . Like Friends , Family , and a roof over our heads . And food to eat , which are things that far too many out there are going without these days .
Last , but NOT least we need to give Thanks for having a Military , that's second to NONE . That's always watching over us , and keeping us safe from harm .
On a personal note a couple of things that I'm Thankful for , no pun intended :-) is finally having my knees fixed so that I can walk again with wanting to scream my bloody head off !
And having folks like the ones on this most EXCELLENT MB as part of my extended Family ! I'm Thankful for My Wife , Patty, and for her understanding that this ISN'T just a Hobby , it's an Obsession ! :-)
On another subject , tomorrow it'll be a year since I lost my 1984 F-150 Ford PU to a fire of LITERALLY unknown origin . The Firemen couldn't figure out what happened , nor could the Claims Adjuster that handled my claim . It's like she decided it was time to go , and that was it .
What with all the extra $$$$$$ going out for Doctor's visits over the last year , it's going to be a long time before I can replace her .
Part of the insurance money that I got for her enabled me to keep my '79 PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS AM on the road . She's been with me for over twenty-three years , and while her body is in kind of rough shape she STILL steps out like a Lady ! :-)
And for any of you out there that doubt that Miracles DO happen , have I GOT one for you !
On September 4th of this year , which was the 28th Anniversary of me losing my Dad , I was headed out to a local Mall .
Left the House , and got out on one of the side roads that lead to the main drag that heads to the Mall . Went to make a right hand turn . And got one of the MOST major SHOCKS OF MY LIFE ! First off I hear a noise , and thought that I'd been run into ............
Uh no , it was wierder than that , while figthing to remain in control of my car I look in the rear view , and get to see my LEFT REAR TIRE !!!!!!! hitting the ground , BOUNCING over my car , and then ROLLING all the way across a SIX LANE HIGHWAY WITHOUT HITTING ANYTHING !!!!!!!!
How that was possible was that I had the leading green , and no cars had turned onto the road while all this was happening , or it would have turned out a LOT differently .
I get the car stopped , and am sitting there in a turn lane shaking like a leaf . When I hear a Police Car coming up FAST !!!!!!!!! Turns out that the Officer was headed straight down the road that I had turned onto , and had been stopped at the light . And you guessed it !!!!!! The whole thing was on his dashboard camera !!!!!!!
He made sure that I was okay , and a couple of guys from a local service station helped me change the tire , and I was on my way again .
HOME !!!!!!!!!!!! FORGET THE MALL !!!!!!!I made it Home , and kinda sat there , and shook , alot . A whole lot !!!!!
Anywho !!!!!!!!! By way of things to be Thankful for , NO ONE was hurt , my T/A wasn't even scratched . and two complete strangers stepped up to the plate when I needed help the most . AND , YES this time there WAS a Cop there when I needed one !!!!! :-)
Sorry for the LONG !!!!!!!!!! post ! As I said once before I DON'T POST all that often , but when I do . I MORE than make up for it !!! :-)
One last thing ! I realize I'm a Holiday ahead here in saying this but in the truly immortal words of Tiny Tim from Dicken's A CHRISTMAS CAROL " God Bless us everyone ! "
THE HIGHWAYMAN ( HOH )
POW / MIA YOU ARE NEVER FORGOTTEN , NOT NOW , NOW EVER !

Hey folks. just thought i would take the time and say happy T day to you all.
and tell you folks about my little part of the world as of late.
i have just been swamped with a new project at work
and as well a deal of a life time at home.
I just got my hands on a entire collection of unbuilt plastic model kits
all from the 50,s 60,s 70,s and early 80,s TANKS PLANES CARS SHIPS SCI FI AND JUST PLANE WEIRD STUFF
old co,s like Hawk Srombecker , Pyro, IMC Aurora , Lifelike and the usual AMT MONOGRAM REVELL
I was looking for deals to resell and a lady contacted me to clean her basement out for her[she had told me her late husband was a Modeler and had a collection in her cellar.
so i thought yea ok i will check this out. and if she had a few I would try to sell them for her
when i got there i saw what had to be the absolute largest private collection of plastic model kits i have ever seen in my life
well to make a long story out of a short one LOL
i and jules now posses over 3000+...yes three thousand kits.plus.
several of which are gems. and well worth a few hundred ea/
wowsers guys, I am not kidding you
my wet dream come true . and one hell of a profit to make for both parties.
however lol
this has been a dream turning into a nightmare.
julie and i have been moving boxes for this lady for the past two weeks and selling out at the flea market as well as categorizing and listing them and making stock checks.
and moving all of this into my cellar.
The best part is that we get 1/2 of all sales and she wants me to blow them out cheap
[of which i have been pulling the best for sale on Ebay. and at the local modelers shows.
So my world has been nothing but going to work at the real job and sitting at home sorting cleaning and listing model kits.
NO JOKE HERE 4000 kits.
julie has done nothing for the last week but sort and write and research these kits. She has been a dream wife through all of this [after the 1st shock of what we both saw wore off lol]
i have been joining all sorts of model lists on the web to start trying to make heads or tails out of what i have.
MY HEAD IS SPINNING.
and i am having nighmares about model kits.
No joke guys 3000+ kits.
I am ready to get away from models and do some old fashion ONE SIXTH.
LOL
owwwwweeeee my head hurts lol

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. A very cool one for today, so let's get right to it!
Up for today is our old friend Point Man. It looks like he's starting to send in another one of his cool remastered "Jeb Savage and the Haunted M5" episodes. Here we get part 1 of "The Battle for Bella del Monte". As I've said many many times before, Point Man does some awesome stuff in this comic book genre and it's always a treat to get to reread through them again. It's especially cool to see them new and remastered. So if you're a fan of Point Man's work or one of the unfortunates who never had an opportunity to see Point Man's work, then I have to say this is must see stuff. So be sure to check it out! Special thanks to Point Man for sending this cool part 1 in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Up to start off this week is our old friend Pvt. Mel. Here we get a cool little photo set featuring some Americans rescuing some innocent farmers from the hands of the Nazis in WWII somewhere. Once again, some excellent shots and figures here from Mel. Man, I need to find me some of those 1/6th bib overalls. Also included here is a sneak preview of Mel's next project. Some terrific stuff all the around here from Mel. So if you're a fan of his cool work like I am, then definitely don't miss this one! Special thanks to Pvt. Ok troops, time for the last site update of the week. And it's another one of our weekly story episodes, so let's get right to it!
Returning to wrap up this week as promised is our old friend Hogie309 with the next installment of his WWII Town of Marwencol saga, continued from photo set 3958. I'm sure you guys remember from the last episode there was a prisoner exchange about to happen and ol' Pvt. York had a plan to steal a German uniform. In this episode, we pick up right where we left off, York finally got his uniform after Deja and the German sailor helped him catch the Nazi unaware and he's about ready to put his plan into action. Also, the prisoner exchange starts. I don't really want to give anymore of the story away here, so I'll just simply say if you've been following Hogie's cool saga, then you definitely won't want to miss this newest episode. I must warn you though, it does end on quite a cliffhanger. Special thanks to Hogie309 for sending this cool new episode in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

I've been working on a project lately, and Chairborne and Rich offered to help. Today, I recieved some stuff from Chairborne, for my project :) I'll just say, that Chairborne went above and beyond the call to duty, by sending me extra items for my people in Marwencol. I won't elaborate, because the items will be used in an upcoming episode, in the future. I'm taking this time now, to dress every one of you in Winter clothing. I have 1/3rd of you finished. I also picked up one of my small orders today, with Winter coats, for 9 of you guys. GL sir, your Winter coat came today, also. It's the ITPT Field Marshal's fur-lined sheep skin coat :) I want you fellas to be Warm this Winter :) Thank You again, Chairborne. I am very, very Grateful to you, for these much needed items !!

- Site Update! -- GreenLeader, 17:28:09 11/18/09 Wed (pool-72-87-32-225.spknwa.btas.verizon.net/72.87.32.225)
Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Still a little bit low on photos around here, which is why there was nothing yesterday again, but I did manage to get some stuff in to finish off the week with. Some small stuff, so I'll put three of those up today. Let's get right to them then!
First up, our old friend The Highwayman is back. Most of you guys know with his surgery and everything he's been out of commission for a while. But he took a few Halloween photos that he wanted to send in, but never got around to it until now. Here we get a couple photos of some of his custom figures depicting the gods of death. Some really cool stuff from Highwayman again. Two pics here, one of them is a group shot. So be sure to check them out! Special thanks to The Highwayman for sending these in and sharing them with us. Sharp Salute!

Next up, fellow trooper Oddbod is back with another of his Civil War projects. Here we get his latest 'bash, a terrific looking Confederate Artilleryman. Of course, Oddbod took him outside for some really nice shots of him strolling around in the woods and posing for the camera. So if you're into that Civil War stuff, definitely be sure to check this one out! Special thanks to Oddbod for sending this cool project in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

And last BUT NOT least for today, our old friend Zman is back with another one of his terrific figure projects. Here we get a few shots of his Korean War UDT planting some explosives on a railroad track. Another sharp project here from ol' Zman without a doubt and I thought his railroad track mini dio was very cool. So if you're a fan of Zman's work like me, then you know you definitely won't want to miss this newest project from him. Special thanks to Zman for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Well guys, I guess that does it for today. Still one more site update left in the week though and I do believe that belongs to the next Marwencol episode. So be sure to come on back regular time tomorrow and check it out. Until then... take it lite guys.
Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Only one small set on this Veteran's Day, but it's a really cool one in my opinion, so let's get right to it!
Our old friend Zman is back today with another one of his cool figure projects. This time, a 173rd Airborne paratrooper in his tea stained desert BDU ready to jump into Iraq. Only on display here, but Zman's attention to details is definitely at work again here. Just an excellent looking paratrooper all the way around. So if you're a fan of the paratroopers like I am, then you won't want to miss this cool new project from our old friend. So be sure to go take a peek at it! Special thanks to Zman for sending this cool project in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

So I guess I'll see everyone back here tomorrow! Until then... take it lite guys.

- Zman, I too love the detail on this guy !! As I scrolled down the figure, I thought that the parachut deal would end on his chest rig, but I was mistaken ! Then, I saw that huge bag twixt his legs, and the backpack filled with his gear... and then the rifle bag, and I immediately felt fatigued !! I'd never be able to carry that much stuff, jump out of a plane, then land safely, then to start fighting evil. Well done, buddy :) (NT) -- Hogie309 (HOH), 19:03:44 11/11/09 Wed

- Zman, very cool figure! Are those ankle braces to prevent breaks when landing? I have never noticed these before. (NT) -- ilaf, 22:49:51 11/11/09 Wed
- Zman, you have really come up with one great looking representative of the Winged Butterknife. Very sharp! (NT) -- Rich, 09:44:28 11/12/09 Thu
- Super cool paratroop! I love the weathering on the boots and the attention to detail in general! (NT) -- Steve Wood, 15:14:06 11/18/09 Wed
