I've been working on a project lately, and Chairborne and Rich offered to help. Today, I recieved some stuff from Chairborne, for my project :) I'll just say, that Chairborne went above and beyond the call to duty, by sending me extra items for my people in Marwencol. I won't elaborate, because the items will be used in an upcoming episode, in the future. I'm taking this time now, to dress every one of you in Winter clothing. I have 1/3rd of you finished. I also picked up one of my small orders today, with Winter coats, for 9 of you guys. GL sir, your Winter coat came today, also. It's the ITPT Field Marshal's fur-lined sheep skin coat :) I want you fellas to be Warm this Winter :) Thank You again, Chairborne. I am very, very Grateful to you, for these much needed items !!

Ok troops, time for the last site update of the week. And it's another one of our weekly story episodes, so let's get right to it!
Returning to wrap up this week as promised is our old friend Hogie309 with the next installment of his WWII Town of Marwencol saga, continued from photo set 3958. I'm sure you guys remember from the last episode there was a prisoner exchange about to happen and ol' Pvt. York had a plan to steal a German uniform. In this episode, we pick up right where we left off, York finally got his uniform after Deja and the German sailor helped him catch the Nazi unaware and he's about ready to put his plan into action. Also, the prisoner exchange starts. I don't really want to give anymore of the story away here, so I'll just simply say if you've been following Hogie's cool saga, then you definitely won't want to miss this newest episode. I must warn you though, it does end on quite a cliffhanger. Special thanks to Hogie309 for sending this cool new episode in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Well guys, I guess that wraps up this week. I do have something to start off next week with, so be sure to come on back regular time Sunday night/ Monday morning when we'll get this whole thing started up again. Until then... take it lite guys.
Have a great weekend guys!
Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Still a little bit low on photos around here, which is why there was nothing yesterday again, but I did manage to get some stuff in to finish off the week with. Some small stuff, so I'll put three of those up today. Let's get right to them then!
First up, our old friend The Highwayman is back. Most of you guys know with his surgery and everything he's been out of commission for a while. But he took a few Halloween photos that he wanted to send in, but never got around to it until now. Here we get a couple photos of some of his custom figures depicting the gods of death. Some really cool stuff from Highwayman again. Two pics here, one of them is a group shot. So be sure to check them out! Special thanks to The Highwayman for sending these in and sharing them with us. Sharp Salute!

Next up, fellow trooper Oddbod is back with another of his Civil War projects. Here we get his latest 'bash, a terrific looking Confederate Artilleryman. Of course, Oddbod took him outside for some really nice shots of him strolling around in the woods and posing for the camera. So if you're into that Civil War stuff, definitely be sure to check this one out! Special thanks to Oddbod for sending this cool project in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

And last BUT NOT least for today, our old friend Zman is back with another one of his terrific figure projects. Here we get a few shots of his Korean War UDT planting some explosives on a railroad track. Another sharp project here from ol' Zman without a doubt and I thought his railroad track mini dio was very cool. So if you're a fan of Zman's work like me, then you know you definitely won't want to miss this newest project from him. Special thanks to Zman for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Well guys, I guess that does it for today. Still one more site update left in the week though and I do believe that belongs to the next Marwencol episode. So be sure to come on back regular time tomorrow and check it out. Until then... take it lite guys.
Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Only one medium set today, but I thought it was very sharp, so let's get right to it then!
Returning for today is our old friend Cbtengr with a few shots of his slightly modified 21st RC Humvee. He's given it a bit of weathering, which makes it look a whole lot better, just that little upgrade, then added some extra bits and pieces and he's even modified the rear trunk area where the battery is held. He's put it all together in a little photo type story featuring the Humvee and its crew. Some very nice work here from Cbtengr. Definitely don't miss it! Special thanks to Cbtengr for sending this one in and sharing it with all of us. Sharp Salute!

Ok troops, time for the first site update of the week, and we'll start off with another of our cool photo story episodes. So let's get right to it then!
Up to start off this week is our old friend Irish13 with the final part of his cool modern era story "The GunPoint", continued from photo set 3949. As you recall, everybody has been out there looking for some secret formula that turns soldiers into unstoppable killing machines, and in the last episode, one guy finally got to it and took some. I don't want to say anything more here because I don't want to ruin the ending for you, but I will say that Irish did a really cool job here on this whole entire story. And even though the story ends, I like how he left it open for a possible sequel one of these days. So if you've been following the last 11 episodes of Irish's Gunpoint like I have, then you won't want to miss this cool final episode. Special thanks to Irish13 for sending this one in and sharing it with all of us. Sharp Salute!

Came home this afternoon to find the box in the house and am I ever impressed, not only with the figure, but the deal and speed of delivery that Robert accomplished. Herdsman76 has been a long time participant here at GL's and I for one hate to see him selling off part of his collection, much of which we have seen posted here over the years. But, if he is going to sell it, I'd rather see it go to the guys here who will take excellent care of everything. If you have not seen his list, scroll down and take a look. Many thanks Herdsman76, and I will be looking at the list more myself.

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Only one small set on this Veteran's Day, but it's a really cool one in my opinion, so let's get right to it!
Our old friend Zman is back today with another one of his cool figure projects. This time, a 173rd Airborne paratrooper in his tea stained desert BDU ready to jump into Iraq. Only on display here, but Zman's attention to details is definitely at work again here. Just an excellent looking paratrooper all the way around. So if you're a fan of the paratroopers like I am, then you won't want to miss this cool new project from our old friend. So be sure to go take a peek at it! - Zman, I too love the detail on this guy !! As I scrolled down the figure, I thought that the parachut deal would end on his chest rig, but I was mistaken ! Then, I saw that huge bag twixt his legs, and the backpack filled with his gear... and then the rifle bag, and I immediately felt fatigued !! I'd never be able to carry that much stuff, jump out of a plane, then land safely, then to start fighting evil. Well done, buddy :) (NT) -- Hogie309 (HOH), 19:03:44 11/11/09 Wed

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Again, only one set but again, very sharp in my opinion, so let's get right to it!
Fellow trooper Cbtengr is back with a bunch of photos of his "War Room" where he houses his collection. I have to say he's got one of us envious of this cool room already... me! I can't imagine anybody who wouldn't be proud to have a room like this to show off their collection. And speaking of that collection, that's mighty impressive as well. A ton of figures on display along with mini dioramas, vehicles and even some 1/1 scale stuff. Very cool for sure! I'm sure you guys will all enjoy taking a peek at this room. Definitely don't miss it! Special thanks to Cbtengr for sending these cool shots in and sharing them with us. Sharp Salute!

- Cbtengr, first of all, when I saw that huge desk , I thought it was Headquarters for an Officer !! At first, I was going to comment on your track lighting that illuminates your shelves, then I noticed that they were recessed fixtures. I love your whole layout !!! I noticed the "Plan 9..." diorama, and the big diorama in the middle of the room. Iattempted to look at every figure that you have on those shelves, and then I thought,... I wouldn't want to be the one to have to dust those shelves off !! Hehehehe. I'm very impressed with the neatness of your war room, also :) (NT) -- Hogie309 (HOH), 18:57:42 11/10/09 Tue

Ok troops, time for another cool site update from our fellow men in the field. Only one set today, but I thought it was very cool sharp, so let's get right to it!
Well, up for today, our old friend Point Man is back. It seems like sometime in the near future here, he's planning on starting up another one of his cool Vietnam era photo comics. So to keep all the characters straight, he decided to make a little character guide and he figured he'd share it with all of us. It's being narrated by Doc, the Medic, and he goes through all his troops with a little paragraph bio on each. I can't wait to see what Point Man comes out with next in his Vietnam stories and I'm sure it will be awesome. No real story here, just the character guide, but it's very well done in Point Man style and it's definitely a great teaser of what's to come. Oh yeah, if you guys don't remember some of Point Man's earlier Vietnam stuff, I'll put the links to those up as well in case you want to check those out. So definitely don't miss this one! Special thanks to Point Man for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

- WOW is about right! Went in shortly after Vietnam ended, and this still brings back a lot of memories. We had those PS updates for years to follow. I remember the media's attacks on GIs for being so immature to have to read "comic books" for pertinant info. Bet that most of them now read "graphic novels." Man, I can't wait to see what else you have coming for us. (NT) -- Rich, 07:51:12 11/10/09 Tue

- Update on stuff for sale , 25% OFF purchase price , AND we DO accept trades as part payment on an item ! -- THE HIGHWAYMAN ( HOH ), 23:55:49 11/08/09 Sun (fl-71-1-154-35.dhcp.embarqhsd.net/71.1.154.35)
Like it says on the header if anybody on this here MB can use any of my stuff that's up on E-bay I WILL take twnty-five per cent on of the purchase price ( it's listed as BUY IT NOW , with the purchase price , INCLUDING shipping CLEARLY VISIBLE ! ) . I WILL also accept TRADES as partial payment for my stuff .
For example I'm looking for a STUART tank to replace mine that went up for Adoption last year . Say that you wanted to get my STUG IV , or 251 Halftrack or whatever . Which are priced at $250.00 to $300.00 respectively .
IF you've got a STUART , up for grabs , a non-R/C OR R/C running OR NOT , in TRADE it's worth $100.00 towards getting one of my " kids " NO JOKE . Plus I also need HALF a Stuart , as in a COMPLETE lower hull with ALL the road wheels , and WITH THE tracks intact , and unbroken . Which is worth $50.00 in trade 'cuz I'm FINALLY working on plans / a template for the US HALFTRACK , and RIGHT NOW I don't have the bucks to pick a STUART up off of E-bay . And with me getting my left knee rebuilt THIS week I DON'T think that I'll be working anywhere anytime soon . Which , pardon my French here ! TRULY sucks !!!!!!!!!!!
The GOOD news is that with any LUCK , and the Grace of God above I'll be WALKING pain-free for the FIRST time in over seven years ...................
I'm also looking for some 1/6th / 1/8th scale R/C cars , running or not as long as they ARE in good shape , and have all their various pieces , and parts . What I'm looking for is a NON 4X4 Escalade or Yukon , a DODGE CHARGER , a CHRYSLSER 300 . and I KNOW that this is a LONG shot at best , but one of the TOYOTA SUPRRAS that WALMART had a few years back . And here's another TWO WAY LONG shots one of the JEEP GLADIATOR PU's that WALMART also carried around two or three years ago .
Or one of the RADIO SHACK '69 Camaros or even a 2010 JADA CAMARO . RED OR SILVER , either ones cool with me . They ALL went for seventy-five bucks back in the day , and that's what they're worth in trade in GOOD shape towards getting one of the Kids that I'm trying to adopt out in order to pay some bills .
Some of the TRADE stuff that I have that is NOT on E-bay are the plans / templates for the various tanks that I've built over the years . Plus , a BOX containing FIFTY 21st CT sandbags , which are enough to do SEVERAL machine nests , etc. . A WHOLE mess of 1995 to 1998 Action figures . NOT Military , but SUPERMAN , BATMAN , WONDERWOMAN etc. that are in good shape , but since they were part of the display where I used to set up , are missing their weapons , and gear . It WASN'T stolen , it wound up being in a separate box , and got left behind when I went back to doing outdoor Flea Markets back in early '98 . So it goes .............There about fifty of them in the box , the figures are the ones that range from around four to six inches in height .
I've also got a bag of three maybe four sets of SNOW TROOPER uniforms , and gear , the outfits , skis , some crampons , etc. , plus one figure that wearing a complete outfit , complete with ski poles , a black watch hat ,and ski goggles They're made by the folks that do the M/C TOYS PEACE KEEPER figures . I've also got a complete DESERT CAMO SOTW FORMATIVE INTERNATIONAL JEEP that I'd like to do an even swap for an complete OD green one that's in good shape .I've also got three complete sets of 21st CT WOODLAND CAMO outfits from boots to helmets , and some gear to go with them . IF you can use any of this stuff e-mail me directly , and we'll go on from there .
THE HIGHWAYMAN ( HOH ) Whose NERVES might be a WEE bit on edge at the thought of heading back to the Hospital . THANK GOD that I'm NOT a CENTAUR , with THREE more legs that need fixing instead of JUST the one !!!!!
POW / MIAS , YOU WILL NEVER , EVER BE FORGOTTEN . NOT NOW , NOT EVER

Ok troops, time for the first update of the week. And we'll start off with one of our continuing photo story episodes. So let's get right to it!
Returning to start off this week is our old friend Irish13 with the last episode of his continuing WWII OSS story featuring Lt. Cal Lee, continued from photo set 3945. Now I'm going to be brief here because I don't want to give the ending away. I know a lot of folks were speculating on how this was going to end, so I guess you'll just have to check this cool last episode out and find out if you were right or not. I can hardly believe there's been 50 installments of this one. I believe only Hogie has done more than that. I hate to see the adventures of Cal go, but I'm sure Irish's next project will be very cool as well. For now though, if you've been following the last 50 episodes of Cal's adventures in WWII, then be sure to check out this terrific ending. Special thanks to Irish13 for sending this one in and sharing it with us. Sharp Salute!

Sharp Salute!

- Irish !!, what are you doing ?!! Oh Man ! I couldn't stand seeing 'ol Lt. Lee, and Vanessa too ?, getting rubbed out, from one bullet from the Sniper's rifle. What an outstanding shock, this footage of yours is, and I'm wondering if the place they're taking Lt. Lee to, is a huge laboratory, where they'll bring him back to life again !! Oh Irish.... what now ? What's going to happen to the town's people of Gunthur now ? Excellent film footage my friend !, and very strategic and 'movie like' camera angles :) (NT) -- Hogie309 (HOH), 20:15:01 11/08/09 Sun
- Well Irish, this was a good story. I look at the ending as Lee and Vanesse being together forever. Poor ol Lee has been through a lot in this story. Good JOB!!! (NT) -- ilaf, 21:29:10 11/08/09 Sun
