Subject: Hey guys.....can we fix this???

Artist Marc Ericksen, the artist who did some of the Ultimate Soldier box art, contacted me recently and told me about the Ultimate Soldier Wikipedia page and how it was woefully incomplete. It seemed the page was about to expire or something so he updated it with some information on the box art that he knew first hand. Like me, he wasn't familiar with how to go about editing a Wiki page so it looked nice like other Wiki pages. So what Marc was thinking is maybe we can update that Wiki page ourselves since we probably know more about it than anyone else.... since some of us have been here from nearly day 1 of 21st Century Toys. ;)

We need to get our facts straight and in order though. It's been 20 years and I know for me at least some of them have fuzzed in my memory or has completely gone out the window. :)

So here's my first question.....who owned 21st Century Toys? I think it was Scott Allen's dad if I remember correctly but I don't remember his name. Or did Scott actually own the thing? I don't think he did though. If I remember right Scott was only the President and CEO of 21st. Richard Regan was the Vice President of Marketing and Advertising (my old job, LOL just kidding):)

I'm going to look around and see if I can find Rex's email. I think I might have lost it in one of my many computer-deaths over the years. He would know all this stuff. Until he gets involved though it's will probably have to be up to us to give Wikipedia a decent Ultimate Soldier page with actual history and not someone complaining about the Ultimate Soldier's articulation (although justified to some extent) ;)

I would like the Wiki page to have a brief yet accurate history of the company and the figures it produced. It would end up being a novel if we went into detail about every single set. So I don't think we need to go that route, but rather maybe talk about how they were the first mass produced 12" figures that shot for true military accuracy. You remember, even the babyfaced SAMs and the first waves of modern and Vietnam stuff was pretty nice for it's time. Not as nice as 21st got later but much nicer than Classic Collection GI Joe's of that era. I also think we should try and get a complete list of the folks who worked there. We all know Rex and Arlene :) I can still remember some of the names of the folks who worked at 21st but unfortunately after all these years only a random first name or a last name....not a complete first and last name of one individual.

Anyway you think we should try to update that Wiki page?
