Subject: Figures for that are extremely difficult to come by for the actual number of D-Day Pathfinders that were KIA. I can tell you that that awesome image of Ike was taken as he addressed Easy Company, 2-502 PIR, and the guy with the 23 placard around his neck was 1LT Wallace C. Strobel, the jumpmaster for the first stick into Normandy. Wallace died in 1999 at 77 years old.
