Distantly, but it was there. She picked up his mental signal amongst a buncha other shitheads who were trying to kill him. Her blood began to boil, teeth gritted, a golden glow surrounding her. "No...no, you are not trying to kill my Virgil..." She backed up and pointed a finger. One mech exploded from the mental pressure of a very, very angry Goddess closing in around it. "How." Boom. "Dare." Boom. "You." Boom. "Try." Boom. "And." Boom. "Hurt." Boom. "My." Boom. "Virgil!" Boom. She waved a hand furiously and the enemy mechs around him were pushed back a good 300 yards.
