((I'm happy to announce that my second RPG endevour is finished and ready to take on any and all willing applicants. http://praxeum.homestead.com/entrance.html its worth a look at least))
Now there was a lull in the fighting. Slaves and Patrol ships alike ceased fire as various mecha started blowing up. This pause gave the slaves the window to locate the pirate ship, and see it disabled, out of main power and helpless. Seemingly as one, most of the slaves turned their weapons on their tormentor, and started firing.
Rounds upon rounds of ammunition tore a gaping hole in the pirate ship's side, and it started venting atmosphere. Promptly all the doors going to the breached sections were closed, and an automated call was sent out on a proximity band, to be picked up by the Patrol and everybody else.
"Hold your fire! No more! We surrender. We were controlling most of the people out there to attack the station's security. We'll give ourselves in, just don't shoot at us anymore!" pleaded Cap'n Shaw.
Quick to restore order, the Patrol ships surrounded the pirate vessel to keep it from trying anything and to guard it from attack as the station's long range tractor beam pulled it in.
Cap'n Shaw and his crew won't be showing their face around, for about 3 consecutive life sentences according to newsfeeds 4 hours later. All slaves had been set free, and those that wanted them could keep the mechs they piloted.
