A young child cannot understand the concept of the sin nature, but he can understand that some things are right and other things are not right. A child is naturally self centered. The first thing a parent can teach is that a child should care about others around him/her, not just themselves. When the child is old enough to question why the parent says "no" to so many things, he/she can be introduced to God as the Creator and the loving father who watches over us all.
