Today let us remember those who perished at sea with the sinking of the 'Wahine' in Wellington harbour 40yrs ago. 51 passengers and 1 crew. It was NZ's worst marine disaster and it only seems like yesterday when we were all glued to our radios awaiting news of the rescues.Many were dashed to pieces on the rocky shores in one of the worst storms I can ever remember.Lest we forget.
