Hi Glenn, There is a lot of dissatisfaction out there, a heck of a lot of grumbling. But things will not change until and unless the people on the ground decide to change them, and the only realistic way to do this is through the ballot box. The big blockage is that too many people vote from habit, from "tribal" loyalty, without real thought or understanding. Hence you get the "Safe Seat" phenomenon. This can be fought if "Tactical Voting" is encouraged. Maybe this should be organised on a broader basis. But who to vote for? If enough is understood about the voting patterns in a given area then the next most likely candidate can be focused upon and the sitting representative seriously weakened or undermined altogether. To see what the situation is in any area, have a look at electoralcommission.org.uk and election.demon.co.uk find your constituency, see what is possible - then go from there. All the best ...... Chas
