I certainly appreciate your own private view Rachel, But Our Country australia was very close to being overun and taken by the Japanese. Many of our men were executed on Lonely beaches just north of australia and many of our men are still suffering even in old age as a result of the War with Japan Many of our female nurses were also executed on the Lonely beaches too. This war was not and will not be classified as a mistake in australia. It was entirely intentional. The Japanese contempt for Australia and its Territorial waters continues as The japanese Whale fleet are still trying to kill the Whales down here too. We wont ever forget the fact that Australia was so close to being taken by the japanese whom we already knew were a very cruel race. Our memories are alive recent and true. World War history in schools is Banned in Japan.I spent two years also on the Japan New Zealand trade run at sea, I too found no signs of a War like population never the Less it all happened and effected australia very much. Your view on Aboriginals in this country needs correcting Aboriginals in australia have the same rights as white australians get pensions unemployment benefits and if they want to become Teachers doctors etc they have the same chances, they have had Billions of dollars thrown at them. and the so called view of the problem just wont go away.Unfortunately Alcohol , attitudes and greed have all contributed to their outlook in life. My best wishes Glenn
