Yes funnily enough there were a few lads on the Sterling and Winchester that did exactly the same,and after seeing how much time they had on their hands (so to speak) a lot of us followed suite,as you mentioned if you didnt do something there wasnt too much time getting ready to serve the First sitting at Breakfast,and in the Tropics it could be Hell! Even with all the extra time i recall many times having to run,and change my Jacket (the ones that buttoned right up) as one was just wet through!!
Were we mad!! haha!!
