I am not too familiar with the circumstances of those people, but I do know it had nothing to do with the war brides(I have two aunts here who were war brides) but I think it was to do with people who "assumed" they were Canadian citizens, when along about 1947 Canada closed the gate, much like Ozz. Kiwi Land,and Britain did at a later date, well these people did not apply for Citizenship, and found out when they applied for a passport that they were citizens of no where(even tho they were born here)As stated I do not know the exact facts, so if someone would like to jump in and enlighten us please do so regards H
