glad i surfed into the site taff hope your well mate.and all the best for the new year to you @ yours and of course our true skipper brian and his family.i always based my or tried to base my postings on the way of life at sea /the things we got up to as seamen and men of the world that we became the wisdom that many here seem to lack. jobs we carried out as seaman.whatever deptmt.didnt matter we all went ashore together.got on together pulled one and other out the preverbial now and again.in my opinion a lot of the posts over the past few months are nothing less than rediculous nothing to do with our beloved sea lives.yes taff you right none of us getting any younger and i feel for brian also.maybe the reason we can sit and give food for thought behind our keyboards is the fact that we where seaman.and worked bloody hard and demanding tasks.seamanship today and over the last 20 yrs is not what we experienced.we where bloody hard grafters you had to be.we worked hard and played hard.lets have some more of that instead of brian having second thoughts and hanging up his sealegs once and for all.all the best to every ex seaman on this site those who know nothing about our lives go as seaman go and find a site that will teach you how to bitch in the kitchen with your misses.because thats all a lot of you are good for all the best dennis@all the true ex merchant men who where worth there salt the rest of you.? regards terry {scouse}.
