A barrel of oil costs about $100. At 23,000 hrs. per barrel that is less than half a cent for an hour of human work. About thirty billion barrels of oil are produced each year. That's 4 1/2 barrels per person per year or in your terms almost two months of human labor equivalent for every person on the planet every day. Oil is great stuff, I agree, but if this were true every individual on the planet would be living the lifestyle of Donald Trump!
