Would you believe my TiVo died this morning? Good thing the girl's weekend was postponed (life still gets in the way) but now I have lost the entire 10th season of JAG. Yes, I have it on DVD, but the TiVo was so much more convenient. Ok, I'll at least be grateful that I got to see the movie live and I that i have the backup JAG DVD's and that the new DVR should be here in time to record the encore on Friday. Good grief. -- Carrotts, hunting for that silver lining, 18:38:34 01/20/08 Sun
AND, LOL! Just to show how my life goes, this room where I have the DVR is also equipped with another "regular" unit.... so i thought I'd just turn that one on and watch all my TV in here live. But no! Apparently if you don't use a unit for a while they decide to deactivate it. Now they still charge you for it, but they deactivate it. "So", says I, "turn it on"...simple enough. Usually. But NOW the system is down so they can't. Now the system was up 30 minutes ago when I was working on the DVR that they couldn't fix, working just fine then. Now it is down. Is someone deliberately trying to steal my joy? Okay I shall at least be grateful that I can watch TV in the bedrooms. goodness. -- Carrotts- going to her happy place, 19:08:59 01/20/08 Sun |
