Author: Lucia ... a history buff?
Subject: I donīt know. That wealth has yet to reach the Brazilian people ... BTW, well, sorta... I was watching the History channel the other day and found out that in the late 20's Henry Ford built a rubber industry in the middle of the Amazon, along with a town for the American employees. Itīs still there, abandoned and in ruins. So surreal! It was like suburbia in the middle of the jungle!
In reply to: Acer ........ who was reading news about Brazil this morning. WOW! Brazil is doing great economically these days!! :) 's message, " Thanks! Lucia :)! I have not gone yet.... My trip will be in Aug. I have been traveling a lot though -- within the country." on 20:54:24 05/13/08 Tue
