I´m not a bit fan of the raw violence we usually get in films of this kind (truth be told, by the end, I was wondering if Scorcese would spare the cameraman! LOL), but this one has an interesting plot as well as a very good cast, which was actually what drew me to see it in the fist place. However violent the plot makes up for it - not the mention the two-and-a-half hour long refresher course in foulmouthedness in the English language I got on the side! LOLOLOL

DiCaprio´s acting was really good. Jack Nicholson playing another variation of his ImacoolguyandIdontgiveaf***whatyouthink is still darn worth watching! I´m not a much of a Matt Damon fan but he was good too. By the way, I have a question concerning his character. Was he gay or had he been molested by the priests as a kid? Mark Wahlberg ... well, what haircut was that!??? LOL Martin Sheer is always so... cute to watch!

I´m guessing Oscar nominations will be a sure-thing. Well, we´ll see.

[> ITA Lucia because sorry to say I dont dig Leo and even the Titanic movie but I was impressed with the Departed too.Its grandly twisted and a return to American crime classic. Finally a movie with quality which is so rare these days with Hollywood's bombardment of remakes and sequelitis. -- Shania, 02:06:42 11/21/06 Tue

[> [> ITA about the remakes and sequels. Jeez, whatever happened to using your creative juices?? They´re almost as bad as the movies made from old TV shows. I gave the first few a try and they weren´t worth it, so now I just wait for them to come out one DVD to watch - if even that! -- Lucia ... Goooooooood morning, everyone!!!!, 08:21:50 11/21/06 Tue
